200+ MPH on the freeway? Arizona Police would like to speak w/you
The Arizona Department of Public safety is trying to determine the validity of a video showing a man driving more than 200 miles per hour in a Lamborghini on the Loop 202.
The video, which has been making rounds on the internet, claims the man reached a top speed of 219 miles per hour.
The video has appeared on both individual websites and on the popular video sharing site, YouTube.com.
In it, the Lamborghini appears to pass other vehicles on the freeway at the high rate of speed. The driver also appears to make a contest out of it all.
DPS has confirmed there’s a criminal investigation underway to determine the authenticity of the video.
The speeding appears to be happening on the San Tan Freeway portion of the Loop 202 in the Southeast Valley.
It's unclear when the video was shot.

lol,..but it does looks kind fake. Esp the part where he is paddle shifting to me it looks like it kept jumping back and forth from 5th to 6th. :dunno:

he would have to be turbo'd, there is no stock lambo that fast, even the LP640 isn't that fast

Looks to me like he got away. It seems that the authorities are trying to get something on someone they don't like. There are plenty of videos of people going this fast or almost as fast on the highway, even racing on the highway. How many of them are being investigated for their videos?

Things can come back on you when you allow yourself to be on video...or even talking about it. Never understood why someone would videotape themselves breaking the law....
I got questioned about when and where I (ALLEGED :smiley: ) had a 170 run on the freeway that was mentioned in a magazine article :pat:
Being called 'MsEmerald' and 'DriftGirl' in court is no fun :sad:

You should have told them that it was good publicity for the magazine article to 'dress it up a bit'. And yes, them shooting his face was something I didn't think was very smart. BUT how many people have murcieolago's (sp) in Texas?
Also, I may be mistaken, but I didn't see any overhead signs on the freeway, which I guess shows why they can't decide where the video was shot.

Well. That did look like the 202.... I have been in many cars braking the law down on the loop in that area when I was going to school at ASU. I remember seeing videos from TT corvette guys all the time on the internet from that stretch of road.
