Is it just me?

does anybody else think its bulls**t that people ask you to help them move just because your car is bigger than theirs and can fit a lot in it?  or in my case so they can strap a f**kin' strap a mattress to the top of it at 8:45 on a saturday morning?

my day is going to suck on so many levels tomorrow.

There is a sticker they sell here in Australia, and you see it quite a bit (but it still makes me smile)

I would give out a helping hand if it's a friend that has helped me out in one way or the other.

i don't mind helping people out when they needed it, they just need to remember what it is i drive i guess.  another reason that i'm not happy about this is because this a friend of my wife who we are helping move and i can't stand her and she talks sh*t about me to my wifes friends who have not yet met me to make their own opinions.  it just sucks.  i'm actually thinking about renting a U-Haul for this nonsense.  it's money out of my pocket, but it's a lot cheaper than leather, paint or body panels.

I used to help people move, I used to drive a Platinum edition volvo 855. But, the deal was to put only boxes and soft things into my trunk, no bare metal, dirty things, fragile stuff, not packed properly. i have never been afraig of physical work, in fact I like to do physical work, because when I do i don't feel like I am getting fat! But when somebody asks to load a washing mashine( I have had that) I said GFYS. No sharp edges go into my car, including way too skinny girls, buz sometimes i feel like she is going to scratch the letter with her elbow, lol

if someone try to strap the matress on the top of my m45, i'll tell him / her to fuck off, it doesnt matter its the president or jessica alba
if she let me piidb is another story

i ask and pay an hourly rate, plus provide food and drinks after it is all done.  i asked all my workers and all their friends.  we used a dually and a trailer and got me and my partners houses done in about 4 hours.  the trailer helped a lot.  got both houses stuff all loaded up in one trip. haha

Im currently in the process of moving with my parents to a 2 family house (I get my own studio apartment but still have the benifits of getting food when ever I want at my mom's house.) and they get pissed when I wont listen to stuff junk in my car.  I mean I have no problem shoving boxes in the trunk but trying to shove a large cabinet in my back seats is another thing.  They just think im an asshole

Cabinet? In a car? Aren't that suppose to go on a truck/lorry/trailer?

in the end one of the friends who was helping showed up with a truck (so why the f**k was i even asked to transport a bed?) so i didn't have to have anything on top of my car.  i put shit in the trunk and a few things on the back seat and no harm was done in the moving process.
 
however, i did rear end my wife (no, not like that ya damn preverts) on the way home (long story, but i still maintain it's her fault).  but i'm glad that i have anti-lock brakes because i barely touched her and i didn't even see a mark on my bumper.
 
so yeah...that's that i guess.  :shrug:

I remember it all started back in HS when you were the first one to have a nice car...or any car for that matter...and all these peeps would ask you for a ride home...lol...thats why i got a MR2 and sold the sports sedan back then...

my buddy has a cube van he uses as a transport van for his restaurants and i know peeps always ask him to borrow it...but he could care less...as long u bring it back with a full tank of gas and in the same shape u took it.
