My MPV back from paint *not vip style*

Well I just got my MPV back from the body shop.  I had them fix a bunch of paint issues that were on the van when I bought it.  They also painted and installed a bunch of aero parts that I have been collecting for years.  Like the title says this is NOT a VIP style van although I do like the style quite a bit and there are some VIP cues here and there.  Sorry for the poor picture quality.  I can't wait for the next Style Wagon Club meet!

SixColors Grill
SixColors mid-wing
SixColors bonnet spoiler
Vert 3 peice spoiler
MintBlue F, S, R lipkit
Rear left quarter panel repaired (bought the van with a bad egging damage)
Front left quarter panel repaired (same as above)
Front right quarter panel paint (shave the antenna)
Rear hatch paint (removing all emblems and shaving) 

The van is lowered on HKS hipermax c-wagon coilovers and can go about 1.5 - 2 inches lower, although I don't plan to as I already scraped the front end on a driveway yesterday :(.  I will also be changing out the rims eventually.

Looks nice yo now it needs to be lowered some and some larger wheels with a nice lip would set it off...

Had a flat yesterday but it was time to change all 4 tires anyways so I got some 245/40/18 tires.  Now the van looks like a 4x4 with inches of wheel gap.  Once I get better at judging inclines and mastering the angled driveway technique then I will lower the van more.

I like the sporty look of the open face grill.  I know I know...mini-van and sporty don't really go together.  I'm just weird like that.

looks ok. but get rid of the 5zr wheels. look so gaudy(sp?). and bigger wheels.
but looks nice overall.

Looking good!  Can't wait to see her with some new shoes and more lowered.........that should take your ride to a different level all together.  Also much props on going on a road less traveled with the MPV.  Didn't know they even had aftermarket parts for the MPV.

Look Great.  Seem like you are ready for the 2nd meet.  I haven't plan the date yet.   Probably the beginning of next year.

I have already installed my front & back bumper.  I will have my spoiler by next monday .  It's kind of look like yours.  I will get it install asap.  For the side shirts, I will try to remodify myself.  Hope I can work on the FRP myself.

i think a set of 19's staggered with a decent fitment would really do your car justice..
its pretty sick with that bodykit already.. but the wheels are really lacking..

WOW...thats just become my new desktop!  I know its just a photochop but it still looks awe inspiring to me.  I am going to show the wife and say "You see I need better rims!" 

The only thing is that the MPV can only handle conservative offsets :*(.  The sliding door is literally just a couple millimeters from the rear fender when open.  They made sliding door extension arms in Japan but they are impossible to find now.

dang well if u get good fitment and lower it more, it'll be a lot better looking.
those wheels u have on remind me of a cheesy honda civic. maybe a more
dish like with a bigger lip would be good? or a more "vip" style rim since thats what
u'er going after

Thanks for all the compliments and yes the rims will be changed out once I can round up enough money.  My wife wants a new fridge so its going to be a while.  

The color is stock, Tsunami Blue.

Was wondering if somebody gets a set of wheels 19x9 all around with the same offsets but have different disk types (low disk front and super low disk rear) would that achieve the look of being staggered?  Since the different disk type will have different lip sizes too.?

Hmm I think understand what you are saying.  Since high disk is only needed to clear big brake kits right?  Since I am running stock calipers then low disk should fit and at the same time provide the most amount of "lip for the offset".

Another thing to consider when I am tracking down that next set of rims.  Thanks for the reminder :)

Yup all you need is a set of new wheels and your there man! no need go the fat lips route.. using a dish wheel is just as sick plus its easier to use as a daily driver and least amount of mods to makeit fit.

Both of the rims from Eggman and Qclass are in great condition and definitely to my liking :).  I think the rears might be too wide though...I'll need to double check fitment the MPVs running aftermarket rims in Japan.  

I love the look of the dish rims (Euroline DH/DZ, Vienna Dish 1/2, Victrix, Weds Bellona WAD, etc) but I think they are pretty prevalent in the states as it is.  I would prefer to get something thats a little different.   

To give you guys an idea of my tastes here are some other rims/styles that I am considering:
Garson Deep Racing (standard and ryugi)
Weds Kranze LXZ
Cosmic Venerdi Hereborrani CL-010 Multipeice, CL-105
Leon Hardiritt Waffe and Orden
Work LS 305 mono, 207

Wow, a MPV on Lock Smice's doesn't look too bad.
The only thing i dont like is the tail lights, other than that it's sick.

The tailights are OEM, but they are too altezza looking for me.  I am going to get another set of tail lights from the previous generation.  Its a traditional red/clear setup.

The gen before yours has more body parts to choose from though. Still looking good, but like everyone else is saying about the height and the rims is a must. Still working on my Protege5 MintBlue kit and trying to get the JDM front with the rectangle fogs.  Was thinking of getting rid my old ass 1995 MPV and getting a new like yours.Cant wait to see what going to happen next!
