i think this is such a sick car. and the RL/Legend in general is such a great platform for a sporty yet luxury look

Just a change to a more VIP inspired front bumper and you're good to go. Like the side and the rear kit.

there's a white modded one on Acurazine that looks really nice.  wish I had the pic.

I saw a black one lowered before and it reminded me of the Junction Produce GS from the rear with the blacked out inners.

In his defense guys...... he did post this in the "OTHER VEHICLES" section..... therefore his post is legitimate and doesn't warrant any of this. Play nice guys, he didn't post it up in Vip debate or Off topic asking if it was VIP or not, all he stated was

you can't jump on him if he didn't even try and say it was VIP or VIP inspired or VIP looking or VIPstyle all he said was his opinion of the car.

It kinda does have a resemblance of the Toyota Crown.

cmon dont be so close minded, it's under the "other vehicles" forum, meaning basically its not a direct vip platform but still has the style and influence of vip.. so to speak...


basically, the new RL is a damn nice car, can be turned into something quite sporty and luxurious at the same time, and its not true vip by any means but so what? the original poster never stated it was....

holly crap a 08 RL starts around 46 grand

thats about the price for a m45 (49,000 starting)  , GS350 rwd 44,000 starting .


i mean.. the rl is a really nice sporty saloon...but common... rwd ftw.

this forum has dedicated members who believe in "true" bippu platforms.... Y32/33/etc, ucf 10-20-30s, then you got the euro s class lovers... etc.... not everyone here believes in such opinions, but some do.

basically a lotta rwd platforms....

the 3g RL is awd (not fwd or is there such a thing? ive only seen awd's down here)... 
the only honda seemed worthly of vip status around here from the og peeps seems to be the 1/2g RL's....

Yeah you gotta remember that this is not only abut platforms and accessories.... this is about tradition guys. There is a lot to be said about respecting the tradition of VIP, it's roots, and foremost it's guidelines.
 
1) Big Bodied Sedans ONLY
 
2) RWD for the most part
 
3) Flagship of the brand = Luxury vehicles for the most part too
 
4) Automatic
 
 
these are just generalities, but you will never see a 2 door VIP car and that's a fact (although the Soarer is a 2 door and popular for fix up). In Japan, regardless of what you're told, there are some people like here in the states who are now looking beyond the platforms. I would say stick to trying to make sure you execute correctly, and drop all the "I wanna be VIP no matter what with my Non-VIP car". There are some of us who enjoy the VIPstyle moniker which isn't a bad thing, it just means you don't have a platform car and you are going to spend grips more of money to make your car look decent in comparison. :shrug:

i think those rl's are dope as hell.  but for the price i would get something else.

that front end looks cheap. a lot of better choices for the price range, like other members have mentioned. id take a regular usdm RL over that if i had to choose between the 2.


go with a m45 or Q. youll be satisfied im sure.:biggthumpup:
