Wheels on an A32 Maxima

I need your opinions on these wheels. I know A.Z.A isn't that great of a brand, but I can't see myself spending too much on wheels because my car isn't worth much anyway. I am looking to get 18" x 8.5" with a 35mm offset and 225/40-18 tires. How will those stretch out?

Just letting you know, you wont get nearly as much lip as they show in the pic.  You might get like 1' of lip with the width and offset you listed.  With that in mind, do you still want these wheels?  You should just wait around in the classified section of this forum for some nice used JDM wheels to pop up for a pretty good price.

215/35/18 will be more decent... But running 8.5, you might not need the clearance either.

I'd get 19s if I were u. The wheel well is huge for the A32s

Thanks for the replies.  Yea, I am interested in more than 1" of lip, I wish I could see these wheels in person before I buy them.  I'll browse the classifieds...

I wish the wheel wells were bigger though.  The A33 has huge wheel wells. 35 series will make the speedometer go off so I would like to keep it at 40.

Get 19s then... should bring the speedometer back on track?

i would definitely look for something better even though i didn't see the pic. i understand your view on the car not being worth it, but that doesn't work with vip styling. you gotta be willing to spend the cash. of course i understand that you might not be all about vip yet and just looking for some general advice. i think 18 or 19s are fine on the a32. what i would recommend is going with an 8 and doing something in the 25mm range (k-sports have camber plates right?). buying used is a good option.

K-Sports do have camber plates in front front only.

Why would u need a camber plates? IMHO A32 can swallow 8.5JJ no problem with stock alignment.

It's the rear's that the problem. But then again, u can fit a 9JJ with mid thirties offset in there for the staggered look.

18s is too small.  Get 19s.

I see this statement as a hurdle you'll need to overcome unless you choose to change your platform. Otherwise, from what I can see you car looks clean.

8.5 is a bit subtle. i think you can pull off at least a 9 or maybe more and better offset.

go with 19's and get the smaller tire size so you have a better stretch and not mess with your speedo.

I just don't want to spend half the value of my car on wheels.  I'm actually kind of mad I can't give my rear wheels some negative camber.  I don't know if I will be able to tuck them so maybe I should go with a fat, flush look.

my friend's a32 is using 19"x9JJ +30 @ front and 19"x10JJ +30 @ rear...:smiley:

19"x8.5JJ+20
19"x9JJ +23
