wtb: F50 projectors

Anyone have them or access to them?

You can try HIDplanet.com, they pop up every once in a while there. There was a company i believe by the name of advanced auto concepts, that did retros with them, but i have heard some bad things about them, as far as messing up the retros sometimes, and people not being happy about the customer service. Other than that? Just hope for the best.

If you dont mind blinding everyone on the opposite side of the road, they are easy to find in Japan. But they arent easy (impossible?) to switch to RHD so it will have the wrong beam pattern

cant you just put them on opposite sides.. such as the RHD right side on the LHD left side? and the beam patterns be corrects...???

no. it's like this:

--------\____________ will be the RHD. 
 
See the difference? The cuttoff will be pointing the wrong way, and blinding oncoming traffic, and your usable light will be to the wrong side. 
 
BUT you can cut and swap the shields, something i've not done, and would rather just wait for a pair of LHD projectors to come up.

IMO $500 isnt bad considering the headlights are $1300 each

But this car is sold in the states too. so no LHD here?

i think you will have a hard time finding the projectors like i can
alot of guys in japan put hte projectors into a HUGE numer of other headlights. we have more round headlights like gloria/cedric that will accomidate them perfectly.

there are a few sets on a shelf at a local shop if hes interested

Grant, they will be RHD though... wrong side of the road for them.Kinda wishing i had forked out for them while i was there though. $500 bucks spent on a holiday is never regretted. Its much more difficult to justify at other times :D

Thanks everyone for the replies. Best help I got in awhile. I have been looking for a friend whit a tC and most likely do a retrofit with them. saw it done on an Altezza in an Option mag once and I thought, if I only had a tC, I'd do it. I don;t think I can get it to look good on my xB. But a friend in the club saw them in one of my stylewagon's and thought that was the sh!t. So he's up for it and will prolly contact those involved.
