More Logo examples....

Okay sorry VSC admins, I know you closed the previous thread on the logo, but here's some that i designed...if the decision for the logo is final its cool, i just wanted to contribute to this site that i friggin love so here goes.....

Clean and Modern

The crown on this is off the hook! Don't care much for the fonts.

I'd like to see the crown integrated into the the first logo! Good job man, I hope the mods will reconsider. I respect all artistic impressions, but also realize that each font expresses a mood as well. Hopefully, this site can take some criticism when I say that the current logo is sorta juvenile. IMO of course.

i think they should make it a contest since obviously there are a lot of members with skills. give away something small (free set of the new stickers and a t-shirt or something) and let the members vote.

I agree with augdogg, the first one, but with the crown integrated somewhere (like before the VIP?) would look sweet.
Mike said he ain't gonna change it though.

I hope that admins really look at this again.....in the end, its just a logo...
but when i log in now, I feel like cheap when I look at that logo.....( not proud of it) :signdammit: 
 
 
 
but, perception is reality.  so whoever made that logo associates the crown with VIP......
 
I personally think its wack and out of place.....but what do i know.

heres my thing... they logo could be used by us to advertise the site, as is done by many other sites, using stickers and t-shirts. the sales of which can also help fund vsc. but i'm not gonna rock that one period. when you have people willing to help without asking for anything in return, i don't see why you wouldn't consider it.

i didnt even notice we had a logo on the top left.

That was my thoughts exactly. Me being into design, I kinda see the value in logos. This is a great forum, with great people, and more importantly the sickest cars ever, so i feel that the logo that represents us should do so accordingly. The logo that is up now doesnt do that IMO. Im not saying mine are the greatest or whatever, I just wanted to show what other logos could look like. :shrug:

put the crown on the P instead of the V and have it tilted to the right instead of the left.  

Not a fan of the new logo at the top of the site....if it matters?

I acutally like the first one to use as a header for the forum. Funny thing is when we did ask for help no one responded a few months ago. I'm sorry I actually took the initiative to find someone who could make a logo and put it to good use. The logo currently on the header is not exactly my cup of tea but the sticker version (see attached) is the one I like. However, I still think we should use the new logo for stickers. Firelizard, I said it was final but never said I wouldn't add little change to it.

As a Senior Member, you need to read before you post. Never did I say I wouldn't take any comments into consideration. You guys are taking this "logo" issue too seriously.

you are absolutely correct and i apologize. i had read the first thread and left with the impression that it was not up for discussion. however, after re-reading it i see i was wrong. i just uploaded photoshop onto my computer (finally) and i am a typography fanatic. mind if i give it a shot?

too much going on...keep it more simple.... like a mode perfume or a junction , or like job design...those kinds of logos.  Dont try too hard.

I have to agree with Pancakes on this LOGO...:biggthumpup: I dont know where the whole crown thing came from but its just stupid in my opinon:pat: ??What ever happened to K.I.S.S.??(Keep it simple stupid)

this just shows how serious and passionate the  members on VSC(without the crown )are about their web site because the members are the ones who make this site what it is and it should be a decision based on what the members want their site to look like.Whats the point to make logo based on sticker that NO ONE WILL WANT???Like most of the cars on this site Keep it classy and simple...:thelaw: Or better yet why not just pick the logos that are liked the most and have a poll??That way everyone has a chance to pick which logo they like best..

Agreed!  I like that one.

I don't care about the crown idea, but if there's going to be a logo with a crown, I dig the one jdmsao is using

I like it alot cause it has the right colors involved. Gold,Red, and black and grey.
 
 
shoot, if y'all really stuck on a crown then perhaps you can make a black and grey wallpaper with some sort of crown on it....and put it on the backround of this logo.

didn't think about that but i checked out a site with all the cadi emblems and its not that similar. besides, cadillac hads always been a symbol of class/luxury. and yes, there are vip lacs.
