Scaras are on! *PICS*

Picked up this set from AutoFashion. My Tein CS coilovers are maxed out and I know it's sitting too high. I'm currently researching air suspension options. :)

Looks good. You should consider putting UAS bags on your Tein CS.

We're those Freddie's rims off the LS430 or Nick's rims off the Q45?
Since you already know AF why don't you go Air runner! The dump on a 2nd GS is nice w/ that kit!

Looks good Chris i think air will help it out  or lower the coilovers more and camber it.  OBTW the wheels are off the Falken Q45 and sorry Chris i got stuck in stoopid traffic from SD up there.

They were Nick's rims. Great guy with a lot of cool stuff in his garage. I've never been to AF or met Freddie but I've spoken to him a few times and he's great to work with. If I need anything I'll probably make the drive to SD. :)

I was actually thinking about UAS with or without the Tein CS. Does anyone know the pros of putting a bag onto the coilovers besides better handling?

Specs are 19x9 19x10 +23 all around, 225/35 235/35

And yeah, I need a name change. Who do I go to for that? :D

NOt a big fan of stepped lip wheels...makes the center face smaller..I think they use 18 faces on a 19" barrel.........but they do look cool on your whip....

Nice JP wheels...I was curious as to the lip size? how big are the lips in those offsets and widths? also, are the teins CS the same as the Teins Comfort Sport? What other teins will give more of a drop?

Sweet!!  Couldn't be otherwise.  Can never go wrong with Scaras, EVER!!!  I'm surprised the drop isn't that low, especially with coils.  Like others have said, time for air.

I dont think Tein CS does not allow the car to be uber dropped. Its designed for comfort sport only, I guess hence the name "CS" haha..

Yeah, the CSs can't really get you terribly low. Not enough threads
on the shock tube. To some degree, my H&R coilovers have the
same issue. I could drop the front another inch, but I have the
rears down as far as they will go.

If you disassemble the springs from the coilover you can remove
the lower perch "jamb nut" (the lower nut) and gain an additional 
1/4" drop on the rears (at least this is the case with the H&Rs).

I like the Scaras... but somehow I get the feeling that they've
been "done before." Dare I even say they seem... common?

I got some lowering blocks about to be installed this week. Should lower the front another inch. If it works out I'll be sure to take pictures.

I know what you guys mean when you say it's been done before. There are a lot of GS's with Scaras. But I'd rather go with a somewhat common wheel that I love than an uncommon one that I kind of like. 

Also I'm working on my second projector retrofit. I have a feeling you guys will like this one. :D

Lip size on those is 3.25 f 3.75 r. Tein CS is same as Confort Sport. If you want more of a drop, Tein Flex or HA will do the job. Even Tein SS drops pretty low.

Looks nice now cant wait to see it after you get the sus where you want it...

Jps are nice...you can never go wrong with a 5 spoke wheel!! Its a classic!

Hmmm...second projector huh? will it be from a Infiniti F50 barrel projector into a GS? hehe..

I'm keeping it in the Lexus family with the projectors. ;)

Haven't been in a car equipped with Flex or HA but my friend said they can get pretty stiff. Even dumped on the CS it's not all that comfortable, but I'm still young and I don't mind driving a super low car. About rebuilds, I think the Tein HQ is in SoCal and I hear an overhaul is about $75 a coilover.

Oh, $75 is a fair price I believe.  However I am not very sure though if that is the going price.  

Reason I ask about the flex or HA is that I have seen used sets on ebay that go for half the price (it being used), so I thought hmmm...I can somewhat save right? hehe

what are you gonna do about the rear to level after the front drop another 1"?

If you look at the pics, the front is much higher than the rear even with the coilovers all the way down. I think another inch lower in the front should fix that.

for some reason, mine seems higher and i'm all the way in the rear. and the front is at the tein's preset w/ the rca on. if only i could lower my rear about 1/2" it would be perfect. GL. hope those rca works out for you. keep us updated.

Thats because the wheel arches are lower in the rear. The actual car is level. If you look at pics of other 2gs its always lower in the back.

Oops, forgot about that. Most cars are like that. I want this thing dumped in the front. It's the perfect height in the rear with people in the back.
