Has black chrome trim been done on VIP cars?

Used a smoke or black chrome treatment to color all the chrome trim (body and window) to make it black chrome? Wouldn't that totally kick ass on the right application? There used to be stuff on ebay you could use on emblems to make it black chrome, I was going to use that stuff (even though I can't seem to find it right now) Has it been done?

i've seen it done, although i don't remember where. i believe they were using translucent black model spray paint or nightshades to make gunmetal emblems.

You can use the smoke/tint spray that people sometimes use for their tail lights. Just make sure to take your time and do a nice clean job so that the finish product is smooth. I was thinking of using smoke vinyl for the trim. Check out laminics.com for an example of that vinyl.
