I found this pic and thought it look sick on the cls55, I guess I will take the plunge and get my wheels done. I'm thinking about a pearl black gloss look. My bro got these done for his 350z. Works KAI in Takata Green

I think its ugly. I never liked the black wheel trend when all the JDMers had them, and still dont, even if its on a vip car.

Should just paint the stock steelies black and use lots of tyreshine. Would ahve the same effect

With VIP style, it's all about execution of parts. Sometimes itll work, sometimes it wont. The pics posted above looks sick. I love that car actually. Will you be able to have that same look exactly though? Itll be considerably more difficult than something simple like a silver face and polished lip. You run an extreme risk of it looking DUB. I would personally do silver face with polished lip, or at most black face with polished lip (even that can be dangerous sometimes though). Thats just me however.

HAHA I hear you to much Rob and Big for me  I really like their SUV though.

So I guess the census is NO to all black wheels here on a VIP car. One last pic I know it's
not VIP but it is expensive.

Awful... I have always hated black wheels, with a chrome or
brushed lip or otherwise. Looks like you have four spares on
from 50 feet away. Or, maybe the wheels got charred in a fire.

If you're going to do all-black wheels you might as well do the
stockers because from a few feet away it looks the same as
a $1500 all-black wheel. Just my opinion...

I did these for a customer with an S63; satin black centers,
gloss black outers, red pinstripe. Looked stealthy on the
car (black car) but I thought it was pretty disappointing
for a $7000 wheel & tire package.

I personally like the black with red pin look on sporty black cars, it is hard to picture a black vip car with black rims.

Only "VIP" car i can picture it on would have to have really aggressive lines, such as the newer 750 or the LS460.

The cars smooth but aggressive body lines would make up for the lack of "something" taken away from using all black rims. Other then that, on a regular car it would just look like theres somthing missing.

Here are a couple more pics probably won't change any opinions here about black wheels.
But this CLS just looks gangster or more like skater steez, it's something about having a very expensive ride and slapping on some black wheels and rocking it like a honda. Nothing against HONDA's I own two.

Satin black, or gloss black are the ways to go.

Are you sure that isn't the BBS LM replicas produced by Raderwerk?
They call them "BB5," on the replica cap you can actually see this.
The replicas don't offer a 5x114.3 fitment, for what it's worth.

I'm surprised that BBS would photograph a wheel without a center cap!

I checked with BBS and can see the silver and Diamond Black (Japan),
but not in all black.

Also... satin black, flat black... almost the same thing.

You`re right, those are the replicas by raderwerk.
They only come in 5x112, but you can make them fit the 5x114.3 with special lug bolts.
