Bought a 2nd gen GS today!! (and it only took me 5 years)

Wow! It's crazy to think i've owned 9 cars since I wanted a 2nd Gen GS.  My first car was a 94 GS300 I came upon when I was looking for a 2nd gen GS. At the time I didn't even know there WAS a first Gen GS! I had seen the Wald Aristo but never realized that was sold here under Lexus (talk about uber VIPnoob haha)

Well 3 lexus's, a couple jeeps, a benz, and a few toyota's later I finally got a 2nd Gen GS. I figured as my 10th car and 4th Lexus this time I should get EXACTLY what I want. My GS was too messed up, my IS was too sporty and small, and my LS was too dated. This time I wanted the nav, hid's/yellow fogs, heated seats with memory, and most importantly, a 1UZ. I certainly learned my lesson about the difference between "300" and "400."

Today I got it! I took a pic with my phone of the spectre blue 2nd Gen GS the dealership had in september. Even though I wanted a silver one it was my phone background for a while cause I really liked the way the blue paint looked under the light in the pic. Yesterday driving home I saw a blue GS with Blue LED's in the inner headlights (someone on here?) who rolls around with black rims in the summer. After seeing his car and night I completely changed my mind on a silver GS, went to the Lexus Dealership, made them an offer, and being such a good costumer of theirs they accepted my offer. I pick it up tomorrow at 2:30! :dance:

How much did you get it for? And is it silver or the spectra blue?

It's the Spectra Blue. After seeing the Spectra Blue on the road late last night I HAD to have that color.

Front: 
-Prussian Blue front lip
-White LED running lights (i've had them for 2 years from my LS and never installed them)
-Replace the front fan with a bright polished fan so you can see the fan spinning behind the grill. I saw it on a Bentley Arnage when I was in LA once and decided to put it in a build sometime.
-4,300k HID's in the headlights (comes stock)
-super yellow fog lights (comes stock)
-Black Chrome ABflug grill. Still my favorite look for the GS. I imagine i'll have a few and switch it up.
-%35 black tint
-refinish all factory chrome with black chrome treatment.

[b]Side:[/b]
-Prussian Blue sideskirts
-Smoked LED side blinkers
-Carbon JP mirrors
-Carbon Fabulous Pillar Covers
-Artisan Spirits - High Spec fender set (its freaking cheap!!)
-White LED puddle lamps that turn on when the doors are open.

[b]Rear:[/b]
-Fabulous rear molded to bumper
-Fabulous exhaust (i've always wanted those quad cannons)
-Red JP style tail lights with Clear bottom.
-White LED lisence plate bulb

-Universal Air or a used airunner setup (I just don't need to spend $4k when that could be a universal air system and another set of wheels)

-Convert all lights to white LEDs.
Actaully i'm not even going to make a list cause its too long. You'll just see, it'll be tight, I promise! Tan and Black interior Mansory Phantom style.

[b]Engine[/b]
The ITB kit from new zealand with headers and air intake and exhaust.

[b]Wheels[/b]
Many. Many, many, many.... i'm going to start traditional with a set of polished staggered monoblocks i've been dying to put on. Then i'm going to grab a set of Julia Saviors and i'm also looking for a nice multipiece wheel to try a diamond black finish with a white face. I'm still looking for the right wheel though.


I'm going for a look I haven't seen before. Blue and black with black chrome accents. When you get ride of the chrome (or even better make it black chrome) you focus more on how freakin amazing of a color Spectra Blue is. :biggthumpup: I went back to the dealer and they put it in the garage in the building so I couldn't snap some pics with my camera.

nice! Congrats bro... im sure youll love the GS.  I wonder why you got the gs300 instead of 400?  I wanted to get the 400 cause i coudnt pass up the 300hp and the V8.

1 owner car bought and serviced at Lexus of Wayzata till 94k when it got sold to me!  :biggthumpup:

I put in the LED DRL clusters but they don't light up, is there something i'm forgetting to do? They were plug and play in my LS400. They are 10mm wedge quad narrow angle intense beam bulbs.

some led's are polarized....try flipping them

NICE thanks Speedaddict! I got them to work, they look great! I think one is a brighter  whiteish-blue but thats ok. It'll all look the same at night. I'll take pics tonight.

Damn, I'm jealous! I'm actually picking up the exact same car in the next couple of months from a friend of mine once my car sells. Its a '98 GS400 as well and has every single option that came with it just like yours, except its silver.:smiley:

[SIZE="5"]I replaced all the interior lights with white LED's or white xenon bulbs. The pictures don't do it justice at all. My camera isn't so great so it comes out like that. It's actually bright as hell but not offensive. I can drive with them on at night at not notice. [/SIZE]
