Is it THAT big of an issue? with everything congress has failed at, it would seem they'd be hard at work on IMPORTANT issues that effect the nation.

Yeah, it is a big issue because players who played the game the right way without performance enhancement drugs felt they were being cheated. Players who took enhancement drugs would get the advantage and take away spots from players who were playing by the rules.

It is a mlb issue which transcended into a constitutional issue since it is deemed illegal in all states.

Our gov't needs to concentrate or non sports related things and not who's biceps are bigger. I think this is the biggest waste of federal time and money but glad there is better control over the situation.

not constitutional, but yeah, you're right,it is a legal issue. Now with that said, wouldnt it jus be a crimminal drug investigation?
......
wow, they just named Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte of the Yankees
Another interesting thing is that Mitchell is on the boston redsox payroll in sum capacity.

MLB conducted this investigation not the FEDS.
As a Professional Baseball player for 9 years I will just say this......There were WAY more people on Roids than just the 60-80 named in the report. More like hundreds+....

An insider! cool!!
what do u think should be done about the records and future hall of fame votes?
I would imagine that some for of performance enhancing 'sumthing' has been around in some form or another since pro sports started. Everyone looks for an
edge in everything competitive.

^ Only because you can't prove it,......but it happened. This report only covers a few sources. There are plenty of guys that went to Mexico/PR/ Dom. Rep. etc for Winter Ball that just happened to come back to the states 20 lbs heavier a few months later.

No one saying it didnt happen , some players made it so obvious. This report is a joke, like the Bonds perjury trial.
