my 92 ls wont start !help!

today my passenger tired blew or i should say exploded while driving 65mph then all of a sudden my air bag went off and hit me in the face..so i pulled over and went out and looked at the blown tire..it was basically just rollin on its rim..my fender got all bented up my bumper ripped my corner light missing...so i thought i could fix all that body work but when i put on my spare and drove about 1/2 a mile my car shut off... now it wont start.... i was wondering if any one knoes what happend.. did the car computer shut down the car because the air bags wents off..???? please help asap....

that sucks. at least you're ok. try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and then reconnecting it.

Are you getting a CEL *check engine light*?  

What are the symptoms when it dies? 

Hows the charging system? 

Lights do they still turn on? 

Does your motor still turn when you try to start it? 

One step at a time, but always look for the easiest first.

My CEL light has been on for awhile...the motor does not turn over at all.....it just clicks..everything works like the lights, locks, windows, everything...but the (emergency lights/ blinkers) the car hasnt started yet after it shut off after i drove that 1/2 mile when i changed that blown tire....i knoe the tire shreeded up and hit the side fender airbag sensor and set off the bag becuase the wires that connect to that sersor are ripped off. i do believe that it may be something to do with that airbag deploy...that had shut my car off...probably some kinda off saftey thing...but i can be wrong....

i still need to knoe how i can make my car start again....is there some kinda reset thang i can to or anything i can do at all....i need my car becuase its my only transportation i have that i can take my kid and wife around...

Look under the hood, check your fuseable links. Check to see if anything is blown.

If not, try looking for what fuse is for the airbags, then take it off and re-insert. 

If the starter still clicks, it might just need a good "jump" to get it going again....tap on the starter, it is close to the passenger fender as well.

you're saying the car wont start but the lights and radio work. most likely its your starter or alternator

i checked all the fuses and there all ok except the blinker fuse so i replace them and so now everything works....i took the fender off and the wires that run across the top of the left wheel are all tore up....i taped and wire every single one back together except for the bumper signals, coner light and the air bag sensor...i could wire these back because the other half is missing....this whould probably be the worse tire explosion i have ever seen that can mess up the car like its been hit...the damages are fixable but i still cant start it...the starter is good...battery is great..alternator is good..there air blow radio works...oh but i was wrong it doesnt click at all when i turn the key....but it still wont start does any one knoe how i can find out how to resest the computer or get info...im thinking it may have a impact switch maybe some were in the car....

see if disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will reset it. i think it does, no?

thats exaclty what im doin right now..........waiting 5-10 min...but ive done it once before and it didnt work...but im trying again....

ok that didnt work neither, i disconnect waited 10 min and reconnected the battery.... i think imma part my car cause im tired of alwayz fixing it....so if any one who lives in the austin, area can come get the parts of it....its all stock besides the aftermarket dual exhuast. h&r lowering springs..and tokico shocks....i have clear bumber lights but the passeger side is cracked from that blown tire incident....stain glass yellow fog lights....and other stuff....ill even sell the motor and tranny but u gotta pull it your self or take the whole car with it 2500$ for it as it is now or ill trade for a running eg honda hatch w/ backseats....i have everythang in the car the only bad is just a F*** up front passenger side..and tha fact that it wont start cause i think the computer shut it maybe some type of immobilizer...
