Reintroduction: Carl doesn't have a Fusion anymore!

Hi everyone, even though I don't have to I am posting on the VIP101 section because I am a noob with this style.

If you remember, my name is Carl and I had a ford fusion last month and I wanted to VIP the car. After alot of flamage, consideration and researching online, I decided to get a new car to VIP Style.

So, I traded my car in for a 2008 Toyota Avalon. I really like the style of these cars! Now, I know this isn't the "VIP" Car of choice and most of you might be thinking, "Hey! This guy traded a fusion for an avalon? He's an idiot" AND BLA BLAAAA

But I have to tell you, the car is luxurious inside and out and I really find that appealing. Now I know I probably can't get the phat lip wheels, BUT I am thinking if I do get a nice set of wheels and have it ride on air it will look just fine.

I'm reading alot on offsets too but if anyone knows the proper fitments I should choose for my Avalon, let me know.

And from reading up on this stuff, it will be VIPStyled? or VIP Insprired? Too many labels!!

I did look around for examples of this and I really like Driftgrils Lexus. I saw some pics of her car and it's really clean. I shouldn't compare apples and oranges because her's is a 2dr and my Avalon is a sedan but I really want my car to be as clean as hers.

But my plans are to keep this car a little more milder. Also, I'm not an expert in this so please forgive me, Driftgirl your wheels are not "flush" ? Are you planning on changing that soon or have you changed it from the Super Street photos I saw? That will be gangsta if your wheels sit flush. Also, do you think I'll have to pull my fenders out like you did in your Lexus? That's really nice!

2? hmmm...I count 16 doors

My Current Lexus lineup includes

LEXUS SC400t
LEXUS SC300 2jzgte
LEXUS LS400
LEXUS 2G GS300 VIP Project, boosted and on air
LEXUS 2G GS400
Ya better ask somebody about my car-game :slap:
title in hand...keepin it real :innoutrofl2:

superstreet: I put those rims on my car as a favor to a new sponsor at the time. They were not the ones built for my car. I took one for the team, but I knew it wasnt the last time the car would be photographed....not a big deal to me.

Flush? yeah,

front rims are set in to avoid the custom piping going thru the tire wells...rears pulled and flush. The car is now Elevated a bit for the new pipiping on the rear mount Turbo. The car is beyond functional....

I love pulling up to stripped down, primered-out "Racers/Drifters" . I like how they front like they didnt notice the hella bright candy SC, purging, poppin of the BOV with a 2k watt stereo poundin about to get in their ass :smiley-rofl:

That's so cool. I have a lot to learn from you. I hear you are a great car builder too? What other cars have you build besides your Soarer?

Any innovations you have made?

Thread jack my thread please?!

i was driving behind one of those avalons yesterday, and it was next to a stock GS. the avalon actually looked like it could fit a deeper wheel in the rear. i always wondered how close an avalon would look to a crown done up right.

There's not that many clean looking Avalons, but this one is pretty clean.
It has 20" Maya wheels. All it really needs is a drop.

I agree great upgrade....not platform...but then again I'm not a platform boy either!! Just remember you will have to work harder and be willing to spend more to get it to look just right (you know what I mean like the whole striving harder to flush and drop perfectly) but in the end, you will have a sik avalon that will look quite stunnin!!!

"A" for effort for getting rid of the fusion and stepping up to an avalon. Although its not the traditional VIP platform, if done nicely I think it could be a hot VIP "inspired" car...

i'd actually like to see an Avalon done right. the bodystyle that was around right before the new bodystyle kind of reminds me of the new Crown...but smaller (i think it must be the headlights). i've even seen one with slightly small wheels with matching slightly high offsets, but it looked like it had potential. you may not have a platform (and who cares, its your car and you're making the payments and paying for all the mods) but you have a luxury car with some potential. i say go for it!

too bad you didn't get an 04.

Look into UAS.

first things first, suspension.

then look at wheels. go find someone who can measure your clearances, and get the deepest 19's you can afford, and toss them on. then be done for a while.
