Starting to go VIP

First, I don't have a VIP car yet and I'm only a 17 yr old punk kid... My dad will buy me one on March as a summer "VIP" project car and I have to take my last years present (a turbo'd black sand pearl 2007 Scion tC MT w/ .7 on ODO when new and now has 3754.6 miles on ODO) and give it back to him so I could get an older car : ( which will be a low miles LS400 1stgen in great condition and I had to make it look, feel, sound, and has a VIP attitude for 17grand for everything including the car.

Is it possible to make it "VIP" enough to be called VIP even though it's old with 17grand? I just want to know the stuff that is necessary for JDM "VIP" and what are the N.O.s (not N20, the no-nos.) for the car to be VIP style. I also play drums for my friend's punk band and I take my 4 piece drum set in my tC and it actually fits, I want to know if it's possible to fit a 20" bass drum, a 16" floor tom. a 12" mounted tom and a 14x6 snare drum in the trunk.

I live in Henderson, Nevada and I'm only 17 and I have a 70's punk fashion and barely have or play Hip-Hop music, but I do like Techno, Trance, and 80's rap.

17 grand with car included should be plenty to build one hell of  true VIPcar. Stick around here, play around on CarLife, and ask plenty of questions, and you will learn plenty.

Just remember this- low, wide, and original. All three of these are needed to build a unique car. Low suspension, wide wheels, and original styling. The lower, wider, and more unique the styling; the better!

May I know one of the best websites to buy rims? And is it possible to make a 1stgen LS400 feel as comfortable as a 2nd or 3rdgen LS using new parts and spraying it with Quiet Car and having better struts even with 19"x9.5-10s and a weird camber offset?

How come I barely recognize the vehicle when it is made to be VIP style? They all look like cars in the 6digit price range or more! xD

It's just the way people execute the look of the vehicle. Rims, Stance, Kit, and car prep.

How long do I have to stay on "VeeP" 101 to post on other sections? 

I want to know what platform I should start with. Would you recommend an LS400 1st gen, LS400 2ndgen, 2nd gen GS, or 1stgen SC? Would you also recommend me getting the OE airbags or should I get the regular suspension and add those bags later?

whatever you get avoid the factory airride just get the normal spring and strut that way you can go coilovers or bags when you choose!

Forpinks, the vip101 section was created specifically to ask those sorts of questions, so go ahead and make a new thread if you want. Most full members already have vip platforms so its a perfect "beginner" question. As for when you will get approved, there isnt a set post count or specific criteria, but if you show willingness to listen/learn you will get there pretty quickly.
 
FYI an SC is a coupe, and by definition isnt a Vip car... 
My vote would be a second gen GS...

Hey forpinks, I'm with Dominik on this one, and a few other people. You have a great opportunity to have a pretty sick car if you make sure to research first on here. Remember, reading up on platforms and even non-platforms, the available aero parts for these, and the various companies that provide the accessories for these vehicles, should be a deciding factor. Once yu make a decision on the car you want, then you map out what direction you want to take with the car. ASK MANY QUESTIONS!!! we can't stress that enough. and WELCOME! :biggthumpup:
