WOOHOO! Finally got my JIC's

After all the bullshit I went through for coilovers, I finally got them in and installed them

I know, the pictures suck lol, my camera is a POS. I wish I could lower my car even more, but I daily drive it so I cant really do that without bags or something. The pictures dont really do it justice, it looks a lot lower in person for some reason lol. Big thanks to Qclass for the wheels (I finally got them on man! hahaha). And Euan and Logan from Aspec for the JIC's and the fender roller rental.

The fender rolling wasnt too difficult, just time consuming. The front was harder than the rear since the metal is kinda thin, so the more pressure I put on it, the more the WHOLE fender would flex, so it was kinda scary. The rears rolled nicely though, but I still need to do a little more work. It still rubs in the back if I hit a big enough dip or driveway.

Wow it's lookin good man. Nice stance. I'm sure you'll work on getting it lower. Lovin the license plate. Sounds kinda "hyphy" though. Haha.

Looks good!!! Getting a tad bit lower may look better but you are right about the daily driving thing. Me, I'd just slam it and make the car live up to its name! Fender rolling has never been a quick affair and the more time you take with it the better your results. Good thing you were smart enough to slow down when you say the flex.

are you maxed on on the drop ? will the JIC's allow u to go lower? I say go lower, u won't have much clearance issues since your on stock bumpers.

also, can u add a little more camber? a degree of camber should stop the rubbing.

The camber in the rear is maxed out, I might do a little modifying to the cam bolt to allow another degree of camber. I did the same in my old 240 and it worked out perfectly. 
 
The JIC's can still go wayyy lower. The rear can lower another 3 inches, and the front another 2 or 3. Its not really the scraping im worried about, its actually because at this height, if I hit a medium sized bump, the fron upper control arms hit the inner fenderwell, so if I lower it even a tad it'll be bottoming out all the time :sad:  
 
I'll still try to find more ways to lower it a bit more though haha :biggthumpup:  But for now I'm happy....

The Toyota curse :)
Seems to affect all of their cars with double wishbone suspension (LS, GS, SC, even Chasers have the problem).

What model JIC's are those? How do you like these coilovers?  I know you just got them...but hows the ride in your opinion? soft? stock? stiff?

also with regards to dominik's post..about the JIC's having the toyota curse is that the main problem with this JIC coilovers? I have heard good and bad news from this site so im in the middle! haha...reason is because I am considering getting them too thats why.

Nah, its a toyota suspension thing, nothing to do with JIC (other than the fact that they can go pretty low). Anyone going very low with a Toyota will come across this issue...

I doubt you'll need any more forced camber IMO once u get it lower, that last 1 inch of drop usually give the most camber.

The ones I got are the FLT-A2's. And to be quite honest, they are THE NICEST coilovers I have ever ridden in. Slightly stiffer than stock, but not at all harsh. On the lowest dampening setting it rides only a notch harder than stock (but that may be because my stock shocks were super old). IMHO its worth every penny. 
 
I'll go ahead and give that a try Qclass :biggthumpup: Everytime I look at it, it makes me wish I could drop it 1 more inch haha. I'll probably do it on my day off this week.
 
As for the Upper control arm, I was hoping i didnt have to drill that hole but looks like I will. I had to do that in my Honda's (The older ones have that same problem, thats what I get for tucking 15's lmao). I'm going to have to camber the front a little more if I lower it another inch or so, its already rubbing slightly as it is, so I know for sure itll be a lot worse with another inch drop.... But whatever, thats the price I'll have to pay :dance:

That I have no idea, but I couldnt imagine it being any better than these, if there is one.

The spring rates are 14k front, 7k rear. Damn UCF's are tanks in the front!
 
Fab- I cant wait to get my Wald shit! But I cant even order them for a good while :sad:  I need to start spending money on stuff i REALLY need, like balljoints and timing belt/waterpump. Then I gotta fix my stupid powersteering leak lol.

Yea sucks, I cant ride dumped cause the slightest bump and it feels like someone just hit the chassis with a sledgehammer. 

Anyway, your LS is lookin good man. A little lower and a little more camber and it will give it a more aggressive stance.

Nah its kool, I got them for $1900 out the door. Just had to wait months for them to come over on the JIC container
