More Egg Questions...........

Was thinking to put this in the "Wheels and Suspension" section but figured it might just be faster here......but if the Moderators want to put it in the "right section" I will understand.

Anyways..........so I am thinking "possibly" a "full faced" wheel 19X8 and 19X9 or 19X9 and 19X10 set up. What kind of offsets (without fender work and extended sliding door hindge) would work? I looked in some mags and found 19X8 +38 and 19X9 +38 "looks" like they "fit". Does that sound about right?

Thanks ahead of time.

I agree. I think the offset F +35-38 , R +35-38 will fit perfectly. The outside wheel will flushed with the fender without modify the sliding door.

I'm currently running 19x8 +38 all around. This is full down on air runner without Cusco panhard bar (lateral rod) installed. My previous setup was OEM Lexus SC430 wheels 18x8 +45. With that said, a nice setup would be 19x8.5 all around if you want to rotate the tires.

I had installed 17x8 and 17x9 and +38mm all around. The fronts are fine but the rears still touches the sliding door.

Currently im running the SC430 wheels, which are 18x8 and +45mm offset. That is pretty flush and nice fit, of course it could be a littttttle big better...(additional .5" width or lower offset)

And with my other set, I have 19x8.5 and +36mm offset. I have not used these set yet.. So in addition to what Mike said (mdenoga), 8.5 would be the max width to use and in the higher end of the 30's offset. Without any fender or sliding door mods.

Hope this helps :)

I believe he is still going to have to roll the fenders though especially since the rear will definitely shred the tires.

Marshall,

Yup I am leaning towards some "full faced" wheels...........still not 100% sure if I am going to be going that route(the deciding factor will be how much overfenders and the hinge is going to run me). I may just have to take you up on that (test fit)................this offset game is giving me head aches. LOL As mdenoga answered the bolt pattern is 5X114.3...........what is the New XB bolt pattern? Is it a 4 lug like the old XB?

The new (2nd gen) xB's are 5 x 114.3 (same as Previa among all other cars).

Full faced wheel, huh Yoshi. I to like full faced wheels...easier to clean.

Just let me know.. Its prob easier to decide if you see the car with the wheels on it.. not to many guys in Hawaii with full faced wheels..

you know who inspired me to go full face.. Mr Mike with those MRR he had onthe Q

yup the good thing about the new xb is its the 5x114.3 that is one of the reasons i got the car..

Iknow what you meen about head achs on the right offset.. lucky there are meny with the previa.. my 2nd gen XB was so new only a few sort of knew that offset to maybe use.. Lucky I knew troy from Fiveaxis and he prettymuch designed the car and is the guru with the scions.. but I was crossing my finger before i had the rims and hoping it fits wheni got them..

Just like my Sig says Dont give me Lip... LOL never got any LIP from Cops yet..LOL

Going to a "Full Faced" wheel is beginning to grow on me. I have always been into the "Classic, Old School" Styling of VIP, hence my choice of wheels, and my ride........"oldie but goodie"......just like me (atleast telling myself that helps me sleep better at night). LOL.

It is going to come down to what is going to be cheaper.........just getting a set that "fits" or spending money on the Hinge, and Overfenders to make it "work and fit".

Mikey's wheels were sweet...........and the photo chop on the EGG with those wheels looked pretty sweet..........time to do the math and if it means my RAPIERS got to go.........then I got the new headache of finding a new home for my wheels. Atleast I will be able to say that I got to own my "dream wheels".

I'll PM you for a "test fit". Thanks again for offering.....I really appreciate it.

Either pull the fenders more or "let" the fenders "mold" my tires. LOL (actually more like cry!) Less aggressive wheels would solve this problem.......but with less aggressive wheels you lose the "lip" that is why I am thinking if I am only going to get minimal "lip" then why not just go "full face" wheel. Really feeling the "concaved, full faced".......its growing on me.
