exhaust

i have always made my own exhaust system rather than buy a premade one.(its just what i do) my mufflers came in today. i see a lot of cars with the tips going up and out. Question one: is this the norm? Question two: are these acceptible to the style?

Imo the mufflers with the tips pointing up is more of an old school vip styling que (big kits, wheels, crazier styling). The newer style is more of a cleaner look like aimgain or autocouture (round and simple). It just depends on what look you like better. IMO those muffs you got dont really fall into either but I say do your own thing.
