I didn't know they had smart cars in US. We have a bunch up here in Canada. Definitely very good commuters. Now all it needs is a 1300cc Hyabusa engine swap http://youtube.com/watch?v=aEdmmWb9DhQ

Surprisingly the front end crash test was very well rated. never got the see the rear or side test tho. Canadian standards for crash test are slightly higher than the US which is why we dont get alot of the cars you guys have in the US like any Evo, new MR2 (MR-S), R32 golf and a bunch others i cant think off the top of my head

bleh, 60mg? the other reviews i read said it wasn't rated that high, more like 38 city/45 hwy or something.

A crx will do that.

A crx also doesn't cost 30k now either lol.

I'd rather pocket the 28k and not look like some smug person.

kool..smart car has finally reached the states.

I have driven one of those, it has a 5spd manual tranny (shifting but no clutch pedal). It maxed out at around 120kms.

Its scary to drive on highways, but on the city..its fun! people look at you cuz you have a small car! haha

Someone has to post up the crashtest videos where this thing is sent headfirst into an SUV. Probably one of the safest cars out there, despite the size

One of the other benefits nobody has mentioned yet is parking. These things can park nose to curb on parallel parking streets

The smart is pretty common here in europe actually.
I`ve driven both the "Normal" one and this crossblade version.
The crossblade is just hilarious to drive, feels like going down the highway in 70mph in a couch.

That A-team one has to be photoshopped. 5-lug? I doubt that.

Mike, the one you posted up has an AMG badge on it. Haha. Seriously.

If that thing costs $30k, than its not worth it. IMHO.

Its odd to me that the US is already a few years behind Canada. We've had them for a while and Europe has had them for ages.

They are driven year round. There are even small parking spots designed for them here in the downtown core. I agree they are ugly.
