FGY33 JDM Nissan Cimacorrect emblem part numbers and placement.

Here is a guide if you are trying to give your FGY33 USDM Infiniti Q45 the complete, but basic, Nissan Cima look; as far as emblem placement goes. I will try to cover all bases to include pics of actual Nissan Cima's with measurements on location, Nissan part numbers, and Nissan prices. 

This does not include special edition models like the Grand Touring. That wil be for later...

Let's start off with the Hood Ornament:

This is the box with part number for a Kouki Hood Ornament. About $75 new from Nissan.

Cima Hood Ornament, Kouki

Centered on the hood, approxmately 84mm from the top of the grill.

There is a difference between Zenki and Kouki, but it is minimal at best. Kouki models have a taller and wider base.

Placing the hood ornament will require you to drill 3 holes in your hood of varying sizes. I recommend the tried and true "Measure twice, cut once." method, and of course start with a pilot hole using a very small drill bit, and work your way up in size.

Next up are the "VIP" C-pillar emblems:

"VIP" part numbers, note the part number is different for left and right but they are visually the same. These go for about $30/ea, new from Nissan. I assume the "CimaV8" is about the same. I currently do not have the part number.

"CimaV8" note that the word Cima is much smaller than the V8 and they are connected.

Distance from door jam centered with window sill about 33mm and...

about 72mm level from the top of the body line. 

From what I understand the "CimaV8" emblem was standard on all V8's, "VIP" was an option, and the absence of an emblem meant it was a V6 or GT model.

Now for the trunk starting from the left, the huge "Cima" and "V8" emblems.

"Nissan" emblem, no measurment required this emblem comes with 2 post that line up perfect with the exhisting "Infiniti logo" holes.

There is also a rare "Cima Optional Parts" version, but it is basically a Zenki Chrome Infiniti grill with a Nissan logo in place of the Infiniti logo.

I got the Cima GT grille 4 years ago, it was my 1st "mod" if you will,  I like the GT hood ornament too.   Definitely look forward to the Cima GT PN's and placement.  Even though technically the GT is a turbo V6, I liked the grill best and it's sporty nature fits my driving style.

I bought the GT grill thinking not many if all had this grill.............
Now it seems like every one has or is getting this grill!

LOL first time I saw this grille was on Falk's car and a picture Dennis had a long time ago... I actually wanted that mesh GT grille, I've only seen it on a white y33, I think FLS knows him... LOL hey Kevin this was my first "mod" I actually did myself, lol.

haha, yeah, it's an easy one at that!  A bunch of 10mm bolts, about 5 minutes and you're done.

I'm pretty sure (99%) that I was the first person in the US with the black Cima GT grille.  Like I said, I got it 4 years ago, at that time on this site, myself and Bryan were the only people with Y33 Q's, now there are many of us, but you know, I like that fact =)

I got a regular Cima grille, the Zenki one, about 2 years ago and put it on for a week or two and I liked it, but decided I like the GT one I had in the first place the most. So I sold the standard Cima grille and put my black C-GT back on.

Yeah, the mesh GT is my real favorite, but your right Solini, it was the white one, Bryan's, but he's vanished, no contact in about 1 year now. That one is hard to find, and gets more $$ when you can actually find one.

My personal favorite The Kouki grill...and still not alot of folks rocking it yet (in the States that is). From what I have heard its the most desirable Grill in Japan..thats why you dont see a lot of them beeing sold used.

I have 3 grills and get bord w/ the car from time to time so I tried the others for a week! I couldn't eben go the whole week w/o switching back to the GT grill! Hahahhahaha! FOr me it's the color of the car! I love the Zenki grill but only on dark colored cars and ones w/ the 97-98 headlights......

I've ALWAYS!!!!!! had my hart set on getting the Junction grill that's exactly like the GT grill!
NOW THAT GRILL IS BALLER!!!!! AND I KNOW NOBODY HAS IT IN THE US!
 
because not to many folks will spend over $800 for a grill that looks very simlar to the one you can get for around $150....hahahaha

Seriously.  For that much, you can get the factory GT grille and have it re-finished with $$$$$ left to spare.

guys, everything you can get from nissan, you can buy new
West covina nissan, and some other nissan place specialize in getting OEM japan parts.
 
or really, if your nissan dealership isnt stupid, walk in with a part number and htey can order it, might take a while but htey can.

I like the Zenki too but it has become more common...there aren't too many Kouki's though.

Yes sir. Agreed, the Zenki's nice, but not when they're poppin up everywhere. Takes away from being a lil more different than everyone else

Just wanted to say thanks again for this write up.  I am using it to put on my Cima badge on the rear.  I am also putting on the less common Grand Touring badge to match the GT badge on my grill.
