List of VIP platform chassis codes

I still don't know some chassis codes and only by there names. I get confused sometimes when people write chassis codes and hope someone can clarify some stuff. Let's list all the make and model and chassis codes. We'll start with the "true" VIP platforms and the rest will be under others.

Nissan/Infiniti:
90-96 USDM Infiniti Q45 = 90-96 JDM Infiniti Q45 = HG50
90-00 JDM Nissan President = USDM NONE = JHG50/PHG50 (J=Short/P= Long)
97-01 USDM Infiniti Q45 = JDM Nissan Cima = FY33
02-06 USDM Infiniti Q45 = JDM Nissan Cima = F50
01-06 JDM Nissan President = USDM NONE = PGF50
01-06? JDM Nissan Cima (AWD) = USDM NONE = GNF50

03-04 USDM Infiniti M45 = JDM Nissan Cedric/Gloria = Y34
06-Present USDM Infiniti M35/45 = JDM Nissan Fuga = Y50

Toyota/Lexus:

89-94 USDM Lexus LS400 = 89-93 JDM Toyota Celsior = UCF10/11-air suspension

06+ USDM Lexus GS/300/350/460/450h = 06+ JDM SAME = GRS190/GRS191/URS191/GWS191

FGY33 Q45 from 97-01
F50 Q45 02- present (discontinued in 06, still on some lots though)

Y34 M45 is the same body as JDM Cedric / Gloria, but it was never sold in Japan with the VK45 engine, only USDM M45 model got the V8

Great thread idea!

Be sure to put the makes and models next to the codes....does no good to put the codes alone :p

I added a few more models and the JDM production years. I'm pretty sure these are 100% correct. Widebody Q there is no G50 JDM Cima. G50 in Japan was either President or JDM Q45 (which looked exactly same as here). The old Cima before Y33 was a Y32 (which was not available in North America). I Hope this clears up any confusion.

Nissan/Infiniti:

90-96 USDM Infiniti Q45 = 90-96 JDM Infiniti Q45 = HG50
90-00 JDM Nissan President = USDM NONE = JHG50/PHG50 (J=Short/P= Long)
97-01 USDM Infiniti Q45 = 96-00 JDM Nissan Cima = FGY33
02-06 USDM Infiniti Q45 = 01-06 JDM Nissan Cima = F50
01-06 JDM Nissan President = USDM NONE = PGF50
03-05 USDM Infiniti M3/45 = 99-04 JDM Nissan Cedric/Gloria = MY34 (Cedric)/HY34 (Gloria)
06+ USDM Infiniti M45 = 04+ JDM Nissan Fuga = Y50

Toyota/Lexus:

89-94 USDM Lexus LS400 = 89-93 JDM Toyota Celsior = UCF10/11-air suspension
95-00 USDM Lexus LS400 = 94-99 JDM Toyota Celsior = UCF20/21-air suspension
01-06 USDM Lexus LS430 = 00-06 JDM Toyota Celsior = UCF30/31
07+ USDM Lexus LS460(L)/600h(L)L = 07+ JDM SAME = USF40/41 UVF45/46
94-97 USDM Lexus GS300 = 92-96 JDM Toyota Aristo = JZS147/UZS143 (V8 4WD RARE!)
98-06 USDM Lexus GS300/400/430 = 97-05 JDM Toyota Aristo = JZ160/161
06+ USDM Lexus GS/300/350/460/450h = 06+ JDM SAME = GRS190/GRS191/URS191/GWS191

For Toyota/Lexus if it begins with the letter U it is a V8. And the 1 is for air suspension or for longer wheel base models. All H models were hybrids and all L models were longer wheel base

SC300 is JZZ30
SC400 is UZZ31

Any more info I suggest search :P I'm too damn tired/lazy to mention any JDM models or kei-cars or minivans :saiyancrunks:

Yeah, the Toyota Crown comes in Athlete and Majesta series which look different, but both are beautiful cars and I'm not really a Toyota / Lexus guy either. Not sure chassis codes, but there are no USDM versions.

Here are some models that are not here. This is only to list the most common ones I cant go through all old models. So here's a little JDM platform 101 for you

Toyota

Century. This is Toyota's top of the line model. From what I hear if you have any affiliation to Yakuza you cannot buy this from the factory even if you have the money.

97+ GZG50 (5.0L V12)
67-97 VG20 (3.0L V8)
67-97 VG30 (3.5L V8)
67-97 VG40 (4.0L V8)
67-97 VG45 (4.0L V8 Long)

Crown Majesta. The Majesta is the highest model of the Crown which was introduced in 91 which had optional 4.0L V8 or 3.0L Inline 6 (2JZ-GE) along with different yet similar body lines to its older yet smaller brother

98-01 UZS171/JZS177
94-98 UZS151/JZS155
91-94 UZS141/JZS149

Crown. A classic that goes all the way back to '55. After '91 only the Majesta was offered the 1UZ-FE 4.0L V8

99-03 JZS171(W)/175(W) (The W is the Crown Estate which is a Station Wagon)
95-99 JZS151/155
91-95 JZS141/145
87-91 MS131/UZS135

Nissan

Cima. I guess you could say the Cima was the second highest production model next to the President (which we all know is one big bad ass!). The Cima was equipped with a VG30DE(T) 3.0L V6 (Turbo) which was also found in its older brother (Cedric) and the Fairlady Z (300ZX) but then was upgraded to a 4.1L V8 VQ41DE

91-96 FY32
88-91 FY31

Cedric. The Cedric goes a little farther back than the Toyota Century. But was nowhere near as luxurious, then came the birth of the Nissan President in '65. And the Cedric's arch rival would remain the Toyota Crown.

94-98 HY33
91-94 P(B)Y32
87-91 PY31

Gloria. The Gloria is pretty much identical to the Cedric in every way shape and form except VERY minor differences. Nissan eventually decided it was a waste of money make 2 different yet identical cars so After the Y34 they fused the Gloria and Cedric together and made the Fuga (Infiniti M45 Y50)

94-98 PY33
91-94 PY32
87-91 PY31

UZS160 = GS400/430

HELLO! did someone miss my post? Yall all know that the SC300 and SC400 are not VIP platforms! Even to some hardcore VIP enthusiasts the GS is also not a VIP platform.

That is why he put the SC in "Other" section at the bottom. and of course the GS is a VIP platform car. I'm not sure where you got that information but its false. The GS shares the same chassis as the Crown/Majesta

The older GS 147 are NOT so much anymore here in Japan. The Sentia was for a few yrs and that car also went out the door.

Toyota

94-98 PY33
91-94 PY32
87-91 PY31

That's true in a way. Not seen as much as the newer gen but still a VIP platform car none the less. Like a first gen Century. it may be 40 years old but just cause its rarely scene does not make it any less VIP. I mean c'mon tell me this isn't gangster Forum image
