Inna Dub Stylee!!!

finally got my wheels mounted on the Q!!!

Forum image

no, i'm kidding. this is a Q45t that happens to reside in my parents neighborhood. i took this on my camera phone over the holidays when i was home and forgot that i had it. the wheels don't look all that bad as a design...it's just that the fact that they are 22's ruin the overall aesthetics of the car. i hope he's still around when i get coils and/or air on my so i can pull up in front of his house and show him how it's supposed to be done. aside from the 22's it's a really clean Q.

IMO, only cars with extended chassis's could pull off 22's without looking bad like the 745iL-750iL, LS460L, A8L, etc.

This is one case when size (bigger) doesn't matter! I'd roll by them like my sh!t didn't stink if I was in your car. Kinda like how I roll in my 7-series with my pinkie out. [Sidebar]When Kanye West came out with 'Can't Tell Me Nothing' all my peoples were like he wrote that for me since that was my phrase. [/Sidebar]

There is a few G50 in Tucson like that, big gaudy (spl?) rims and they could care less. If the wheels are big then they are ballin even if they look like plastic nastyness!

Yeah, someone asked me a question a while back:

Him: hey you have 20's on your ride now, they look sick

Me: no, they are 19's, and i hate that wheel gap, i need to drop my car lower.

Him: you should have bought 20's then. 19's aren't big enough

Me: :thud:

I see more Q45s rollin 20s+ here then vip style fitment.

Its just the style, since the majority of people here that has expensive rims drive chargers and magnums ect. Pretty much your everyday dub style.

How ever, theres a LS430 rollin around with some 22s and it looks mean as fuck.

Virginia automotive laws = Gayness!!!

There are alot of VA laws that are gay as hell. Thats one of the reasons I got out of there about 2 yrs ago. W&M is in/near Frederickburg right? They are alot more forgiving there. Just stay out of Northern VA (esp Fairfax) and you should be OK. Never speed in any of VA you should google the new speeding penalties that may be on their way out but as of now they are still in play.

[sidebar] I once had a Fairfax County cop measure the distance of my headlights to the ground as I was in 7-11. He told me that they weren't above state standards and was writing me ticket. Then I told him to go and measure my dad's C5 Vette, which was parked right next to me, and asked him is he going to ticket all Vette owners. No ticket given thankfully but thats just an example of how they can be pricks. [/sidebar]

I wonder what a Q would look like slammed on 22s.

I'm actually wondering because a local shop here did a 300 on 24" wheels, but it is on air and actually quite a nice car.
Forum image
yeah, it's fully DUB style, but they managed to do a pretty good job on the stance anyways.

Just because it's slammed on air or what not doesn't make the stance clean...
Also the style of wheels arn't classy at all so that what makes it more dub.
Also having rims that are too big doesn't look right or porportional to the car making t look nasty as well! IMO 22s on a Q would look rediculous even if it was slammed! Rims shouldn't dwarf a big body sedan.........

but i guess it would be intresting to see a VIPstyled wheel 22s in a Q.............nahhh....

I''m from north carolina and no all about the hi-riser look. The correct term for what you are refering to is high riser. "donk" just means 70's model caprice/impala more specifically like 72-75 caprice/impala. the '80s-'90 would be a box and a 91-96 would be a bubble and the front wheel drive impalas built after that are POS that don't deserve the impala name. a donk can look super sick on 22's with nice paint and interior especially a 'vert. it the candy and chips themed ones with 2/3 tone paint jobs, rediculous leather and 4x4 wheel gap that looks rediculous. a 2nd-3rd Gen GS looks good on 22's w kit and lowering not vip but still looks sick

Bass boat paint owns all. Remember that Oscar! You can have that perfect stance of yours but it wont be isht without bassboat paint!!!

(yes thats directed at 'rysc' taste is subjective and you wont find many here who like 'high-risers' with bass boat paint.)
