Hi, my name is Abner and I recently imported a 1996 Honda Legend from Japan. Browsing the internet for more info and ideas for my car I discovered this thing called VIP Style and loved it ever since. The thing is that VIP style here in The Netherlands is prety much non existant. Most car modifications are done by ricers in civics, impreza's, volkwagen golf's, mazda's and the likes. I know the ka9 is not a true VIP platform, but still I think it's not a abd starting point. First thing on the agenda is some nice classy rims. It would be great if you guys could help me on some advice and point me in the right direction. I was currently thinking of either 18 or 19 inch 8.0 with 225/40 tyres. Below I posted some pics of my car and some rims I am currently considering.

What's up with all the knockoff wheels? You could get a better set of used rims in good condition for the price of those wheels. They will fit better, and hold up better than those wheels shown.

I actually thought Work and Lehrmeister were some quality brand rims. What are blackfleets by the way :pat: Black rims?

Since when did brand new works cost 1300 dollars?
If that's the case, why are we paying more than that for rims that are used?
That's what was making me think they are knockoffs, because they DO have knockoff works...if not, then damn you have a hookup price i guess.

The website is
http://www.fujicorporation.com/eng/ . I don't have experiences with the company yet but I kinda stumbled on their website. It looks legit and I guessed the rims were that cheap just like the cars are way cheaper there over in Japan. Of course there comes a good amount off shipping costs on top of that but still the prices are great. Already figured out what Blackfleets are by the way, they also carry those at Fuji. Would be cool if I found ya guys this great cheap rim paradise on the first day I'm active here, haha.

There is no way they are legit... 1300 USD for a set of volk TE37's with nitto 555s. no way.

Fuji corp advertises in every issue of vipstyle/vipcar and seem like a massive store going by the size of thier ads. Those prices seem pretty much legit, for smaller widths without tyres...
Japanese rims arent *that* expensive, its just the shipping and commissions which make them so

If you look them up Fuji Corp looks indeed like a legit company, it's the fact that they are huge in size (just look at their financial records, they have investor relations and everything) and the fact that they are in Japan close to the producers of the rims that they can be so cheap. Even with shipping costs I find the price unbeatable, so I think I'm gonna order with them. Instead of easier the choiche is even getting harder for me. sigh. Now I found the G Corporation Luftbahn DR5. Easily as impressive as the rims I posted before. Heeeeellllp!

If you are going to go with a monoblock (no lip) wheel, i would recommend going for 19s or even 20s, then just make sure you slam the car far enough to tuck the rim inside the guards...

Welcome. Not to get off the topic of wheels, but what part of the Netherlands are you from? My parents are from the Ada area (we now live in the US though).

I live near to Breda in the south, the province of West Brabant. Do you mean Amsterdam by Ada? , cause Ada I'm not familiar with. Nice to see some Dutch blood here. It's kind of lonely representing VIP style over here, let's say they just don't no any better than to style their cars with big spoilers, 16 inch spoke rims and an air intake.

Yeah its near Amsterdam. Most of my extended family is from Rotterdam.
And I know about the cars over there. Its really sad most of the time. It would be a shock to them to have a VIP car over there, and you have some great euro options.
For those of you that don't have a good idea of the Dutch "tuner" scene, rent Ali-G the movie. haha
