Just buy the car (It's a steal!) and have a shop change the head gasket for $150...

If you work at the dealer can't you get a discount on the repair? Check the rest of the car out first to be sure that THAT is the only problem. You don't want to be suckered in to someone else's nightmare that they're trying to get rid of. If all checks out..then have at it. Might want to ask one of the mechanics at your work go take a look at the car first to be sure that's it.

Changing the head gasket on a G50 is a pain. If your paying someone to do it, it will not cost $150, easily 3-4x that

Check the injectors to make sure they're firing well...if not replce them ALL..not just one. They can be a PITA and you don't want to have to dive in there if another goes. Also see which model of Q45 it is. The suspension varies in them with the Q45t and Q45a having HICAS. The base Q45 would be a better candidate for suspension work in my opinion.

thanks for that info elpresidente, i talked to the dude at work he said if the car is clean, then its worth it. he said it will be a pita. He also said might aswell to do the water pump and timing chain. i asked and the head gaskets cost 80 bucks a piece, don't know if they included my discount in that price.

Head gasket on that are is a real big pain! if you guy the car and do the gasket. you may as well do the sparkplugs and some other stuff while you have half the engine compartment taken apart. Good luck with it though. I have a CD with the whole brake down of the car (shopmanual) but sounds like you probably have access to it, since you work for the dealership. let me know if you need it
