What would you do first/perfer more?

Simple question stemming from a convo me and my buddy were having last night around our stack of MLE's: What would you rather do first, or which do you prefer more (for your car) nice fenders, or a nice hood?

not interested in either at all!

I voted for classy set of fenders no blinker!

I wouldnt do fenders or hood first.

I would do wheels and suspension, then a lip kit to give the car a lower look. Then whatever i find amusing to put on my car after haha.

I didn't mean mod first I meant which would you rather have.

See we were looking at a couple of pics of cars that had like ONLY a carbon fiber hood and wheels or like a fender kit and a drop and wheels but no aero kit. We were talking about which was a more popular/desirable mod. He thinks hood's cause they are easy to install (but you still have to paint and blend them) and I say fenders cause most VIP cars I don't think of having custom hoods of any kind. Thats where this question stems out of. Of course wheels and suspension should always be done first, but once you've started throwing parts on the car-canvas and its hood/fenders time which do you think of first?

VIPstyling very rarely does hoods but most have fender mods!
If it's tuner than I say Hood 100%

Hmm see my buddy keeps changing exactly what we are debating about. See he has some cash and wants to throw down on getting some parts made for the GS. My car was super dirty from all the salt on the roads :sad: and he drew a hood on the car that was actually really really sweet. It was anti-tuner and classy and hell, I have never seen anything like it before. I mean seriously you guys for this dude to just draw out the hood on the car perfect on the first try I was really impressed! But I think that really classy fenders for the GS is what we really need because the artisian spirits ones are pretty much the lorinser design and the other kits leave much to be desired. We're trying to be proactively VIP in the sense we create parts for eachothers cars but then offer them to others who dig our design ya know? But just like being a kid in the candy isle we can only pick one. So the debate rages on, fenders, or hoods?

Good lord!!  That neon above is just strait up sex!!!!  I wish my car was that cool....

i think it may also boil down to functionality of the mod.  a cf hood may not be a bad idea considering the weight of a big body car.  i'm sure most people would love to reduce the weight to save a few bucks on gas (i know i would), but i don't think that if you were to leave it unpainted or filled with vents it would look good.  same with fenders.  if you need fenders to fit some agressive wheels then sure, why not.  even the vents don't look all that bad on some cars.  if you could get light weight [I]and[/I] functional fenders that's even more weight saving.
 
i know not everything on VIP car is anywhere near functional and just for looks, so i guess this all about personal choice.  for me, i would go with some tastefully vented fenders.

Depends what car, and why.
Way too many variables to make a decision.

Well, as it would turn out, what I THOUGHT was a bodyline on passenger side turns out to be a DENT, i'm going to get new fenders!

Jeez I was looking at the driver door and thinking "thats so strange, the line on the other side isn't here.... WAIT A SECOND!" and sure enough it's dentzilliaed so that answers my question for me!
