Wheel Thread 10000000x10♥♥

Well, I have been saving up for a while for my lexus GS300 97-99. I will be seriously (as in getting it) next month. First thing is I am gonna be buying wheels for it. However, I will not be installing them till june/july cause by then I should of decide if I wanna go air ride or coilover. Again, wheels since I am a SSR addict from my honda love I will give them preference first. Some of my first mods for my GS300 will probably gonna be a quick release setup. Again, I am a NARDI lover and own a couple Nardi wheels right now. Any other people with quick release setups on a GS300? I already see that this stuff isn't soo popular with the VIP crowd, but i'm pretty sure there are some as I was reading from the Quick release thread I was reading.

On to the track. What wheels or suggestions can you guys give me. Here are some pictures of what I've been keeping an eye out for.

Work Equip 18x9.5+8 18x11+24

Work Euro line which is the first set is 19x9+19 5h

SSR Vienna 19x10+6 19x11.5+1

On a final note, I also kinda wanna get wheels that will clear big brake kits since I also wanna do that for the project.

I was expecting to see some newb with 4-5 different sets of vip wheels or something.

Good luck though. Look for wheels with a Hi disk up front. Those will clear BBk's but also keep in mind, you will get less lip out of the wheel

How about going with a suspension setup first. Then buying wheels that will fit your stance.

I would suggest a coilover system. Only because you say you want to do a BBK as well, and it seems really silly to have airbags and a performance braking setup. Not to mention there are some quality coilover systems for your car.

Is it?

If I had or if I do run wheels where the Brakes are exposed,
I would add a brake kit! IMO the stock rotors are nasty looking and a brake kit will add to the wheel so well!!! And still give you better stoping power than stock! But hay, I like to waste money!

Wow, I think nothing looks more hideous that expense wheels with oem brake setups that are not porportionate to the rest of your "wheel setup" I hate seeing people riding 24s or 22s then having a huge brake gap. Plus with the bigger wheels I like having the better braking system.

I don't know if I wanna do air ride, or buy a nice set of coilovers. However, I can most gurantee I won't be keeping the same wheels for long any ways. I love switching my setups a lot.

no one ask where you can buy the wheels cause you will get an infraction for posting the info. I guess it isn't cool to share cool sites on here.:pat:

Not when others are paying to be vendors!
It wouldn't be fare if other companies can be plugged for free while other companies are coming out the pocket to be a vender..............

It's like paying to be on this site but if your refer to this site it's free.....
that would suck!

are they supported by this site? No, are they being told word by mouth in this case the internet version. I have boughten over 4 sets of wheels of that site, with good customer service. I understand what the mod or even the site is trying to do, but to give me an infraction for something like that is absurd. Might as well ban me now for trying to tell other people or giving information about it. That site isn't very easy to find any ways. Oh well, I could care less, not like i'm trying to steal customers away from the vendors. Not even Honda-tech which was how I found that site from another member gives infractions for that. I really doubt this site is bigger than HT.

I agree with pancakes... and thats alot of choices on the wheels thought you would lower it down to 2 choices... All i can say go with the one you are really aiming for and would think it would look good on her...

Vip isnt all about the lip size. Let the dub guys be concerned with the size of the lip (although they often mistake 3.5" of true lip with 6" lips.)

What I mean is, it doesnt look right when your wheels are poking out like crazy. Sure you got the lip size you want but the wheels dont fit. Anyone could do that, not anyone could get them to fit in the fenders.

Back to the topic. The Equips are classic. Get what you want, everyone has different taste's.

WOW!!!! Somebody finally agrees w/ me!!!!! :runcoold:

It's not about lip size or who has the biggest lip!!!!!
For me it's a been there done that thing! Someone will always have a bigger lip and I seen many step lips (which are a smaller sorta speak lip) that look better than reverse wide lip!

well I was set on this GS300, but did not end up getting it. I am now on the fence on whether or not to get this white F50 I saw the other day for sale! Love the wide big booty look on it!
