New-B

What's up people. I am freshly new to the scene.
sO much so that I learned just yesterday what the difference between VIP and V.I.P.

Anyway,
Name is Dino, Livin' in Phoenix,AZ. From Colombia.
I got a 2003 Subaru Legacy Outback that I wanted to make VIP style car.

Any suggestions on where to start would be good.

peace.

I'm going to sound like a jerk but....

sell the subby and get yourself a VIP platform. You'll never FULLY obtain the full on VIP look without having the right platform to start with.

welcome to the forum.

i think stance + fitment should be first on your list of mods for your Legacy and i think others on here will say the same thing. i'd personally be interested in seeing that thing sittin low on some wheels with an agressive offset. i haven't been to Colombia in almost 3 year, but i'll bet that you're not gonna see a lot of VIP styled cars down there...Bogota has some seriously unforgiving streets. good thing you're in Phoenix. =)

lol...i knew somebody was gonna say that. true, it'll probably never be VIP but it could always fall under "wagonist" or "inspired by".

Broken...I actually read all the newbie info and from what I gather there are 3 categories for Bippu.
a. the true VIP
b. the inspired VIP style
c. k-cars, vans & wagons.

I fall in between b & c.
I'm not loaded to go and get me a Lexus or other high end car so thats out the question.
Plus, I was tring to stay original in style and do something I haven't seen yet.

A slammed Subie wagon VIP style. Would look badass in my opinion.

First off, welcome to VSC vip inspired Dino! Definately do what you feel, but pls keep in mind alot of us are waiting to see another sick VIP platform give birth, opposed to another vip-styled vehicle. Subies are generally known for something else, agreed? We're not nessassarily looking to blow other cars off the road w/ speed (not all of us, but don't tempt us), we're looking to out shine them. I can see the most suped up subie or evo on the road and be, yep, there one goes. BUT a japanese flagship w/ all the right trim/wheels/stance and i drool! Like I want that car now!!! So do what your GOING to do and GL w/ it.

Agreed, would be cool looking. In that case, get some coilovers or air suspension, get some classy wheels, try to find some JDM only grilles or something that people haven't seen over here.

GL, and make sure to post plenty of pictures.

I agree, thats why I would like to create a new option.
Subaru is japanese breed. So keep an open eye.

I'll get pics up once I figure which way I can lower it to the proper stance. I think airbags are my only option. Looking into a spec b suspension swap and some 19" wheels. Still in research mode.
Any suggestions on wheels would be great.

Your s/n looks familiar (LGT.com?) As a fellow legacy owner, as the others have stated, our cars will never be VIP. Like-styled, yes, but VIP in essence, no... but you can get close...

The power and gas-mileage is an added bonus.

Brandicus,
It's not the hipposleek kit, but Albero... just the front bumper.
