Gun Control

There are a few candidates trying to push heavy gun control onto Americans, Have they crossed the line by forcing Americans to give up their right to bare arms or are we all just a bunch of dumb buffoons who just end up shooting each other?

I agree with Em whole-heartedly. This nation was founded on on firearms. Not just for self-defense or times of war, also for survival i.e. hunting.

What the government would have on their hands is an all-out revolution. We are already seeing state bills coming to the desk that attempt to restrict and track gun use and owners, but that should be as bad as it gets. Being a concealed carry permit holder for the past 10+ years in PA, I just don't see the govt trying to come to my house and take my rifles, shotguns, and pistols that I worked hard to earn the money for.:rules:

Bottom line, the police can't save you in your own home if an intruder or thief wants you or your possessions bad enough. 

God help the fool who even attempts to break into my home:truestory:

Ain't gonna happen. They need to back off it. They push for gun control, it'll become another black market thing, where people will have guns anyways. Cops will get a hardon for brandishing their guns, and it'll all go bad. I think registering the guns are enough, and the permits, but tracking them?? What's the point of that? If it's registered, and you have a permit for it, there's no reason to track people because they have a gun...Chris Rock said it best when they need to just have bullet control.

Ugh, it's so hard to come up with any sort of plan for gun control in the States because they're so well established and no matter what, criminals will have them anyways.

Here in Canada, concealed weapons are always a no-no, as are automatics. I'm not sure what the ruling is on handguns, but I think they are not legal either.
Essentially, only hunting rifles and shotguns are allowed. We also have a gun registry that there was a big fuss about, but ended up being not so bad.

It works well. Obviously those who want to commit crimes with guns, will, but we definitely don't have a gun crime issue like the US. We stab or bludgeon people instead :D

im a gun collector and it sucks beacuse the laws are always changing  so my ak47 is currently legal but next week who knows.....the last thing i want is the ATF kickin down my door

i believe the micro stamping thing passed...i forget when it comes into effect.   Anyways I just need a few more handguns and rifles and I'm good.

Alot of people are still buying AKs and ARs in Cali...just got to know the loop hole.

its legal to own an ak in california but it hs to have 3 us made compliance parts...which they dont sell in ca  ive built a couple of them there pretty simple

I've never heard of the 3 us made compliance...got a link?   all I know is the state still have a AWB which makes them illegal.   It all comes down to that detachable mag.
