USD vs JDM headlights.

I was wondering if there was a difference between the two?

Any other models that have different headlights?

the jdm headlights are one piece i believe.

Yeah I've just researched it.

The USDM has a fog/driving light in the middle, that's actually separate.
JDM is an entire unit, except the side piece.

I was wondering because usually, the one-piece has the side piece and headlight joined.
On the celsior, it's actually the fog and headlight that's joined.

Beam pattern and placement is also a little different since they drive on the left side of the road. Even then though I've read the lighting is a jillion times better than the USDM lights.

WRONG they still have lines. Lighting is better because of the H4 lighting. I don't really know because when I had the ls400, I had HID in them. The foglights were the coolest part about that car....and do the foglight mod so you can have them on independently.  Also, the foglights are a LOT  brighter due to the fact they have no shield. 

Make sure to repaint the top of the glass back if you get them and it's chipped. It' make the lights look cleaner. 

PM {-.-} for some, or Jdmpalace. They got me a good set with a good price. 

Just remember to plug in H4 bulbs, i don't remember if you need to switch the wires on them. PM Brandicus, as he has some, and still has h4 bulbs in there.

^Word, there are still lines indeed.  when you first get them the beam will favor the left side but you can use the stock adjusters to get it wherever you want.

you can only plug and play if you have a 93-94 which come stock with h4 type bulb. 90-92 models use 9004 bulbs and will need to be converted.

do you guys have beam patterns on the JDM headlights? Oh...are the headlights glass or plastic?

why would it need to be converted? hid kits are made for both h4, which i have, and 9004 which i wanna get for my other car.

JDM ONES USE H4 BULBS 90-92 USES 9004 SO YOU NEED TO CUT THE 9004 PLUG OFF AND PUT A H4 PLUG ON VERY SIMPLE TO DO.:dance:

I'll tell you why from experience. The bulbs will fit on the h4 housings, yes, but you won't be able to see ANYTHING. 

So, what you CAN do, like I did, is get an hid kit for the 9004 plugs, then get h4 bulbs WITH SHIELDS, and you'll be good to go enough.

OOPS sorry I was talking about converting to JDM headlights into a 92LS. quoted the wrong one :pat: my bad but still easy to do.
