Fitment with drop on 2g gs3

I want to drop the car with Tanabe DF210 1.8f & 1.3r and want to get some staggered rims in there. I'm looking for the biggest size without having to mod the fenders. I like the vip style but can't see myself driving around that low since it is my daily driver. Basically I want to get as close as I can to the vip style but have good camber and fitment. Later my plans might change when I get some coilover bags and a nice kit but for now I need to get rid of the 4x4 stance and the teenage rims. Not sure yet if I want 19 or 20 inchers yet so help with that would be nice also. Thanks for the help in advance guys.

LOL. You want good fitting wheels, yet don't want to do work to make them fit. You will not get low enough on those springs, well you might, but it'd not be low enough for vipstyle, more for club lexus style.

If you have 19's or 20's and don't have a drop, it'll look either dub style, or supergay.

Just save up and do it right. if you like this style, then save up for coilovers or bags, like you want. don't worry about a kit, as it's not needed.

Stance is what vip style is all about. Kits are just add on accessories.

save your money, get an air setup, then get some good fitting rims. Shaving/rolling your fenders are not extensive modifications, and will be the deal breaker between having lame fitting rims that are sunk in, or having good fitting rims that are flush. you choose.

Get the universal air ride suspension... You won't notice the 2 inch drop at all!

Really tryin not to sound like an ass but thats clublexus talk. with the setup and type of fitment your are talking about, and the whole not wanting to mod fenders is not the type of thing you might get a lot of well thought out advice about here( just guessing).I believe there is a thread on clublexus that states the most agressive fitments you can have on a gs with no mods to fenders. search there. you could allways get some good quality multi-piece japanese luxury wheels and a really weak fitment but that does not fall into my understanding of vip.

Hey there welcome to the boards... I have a friend with a gs and im familiar with the suspension and wheels setup ... In my opinion go with 19's if you want staggered fit w/o rolling fenders go with 19x8.5 front and 19x9 when he had it on is car... Hes rolling on springs pretty low with lsport line shocks.. Hes on club lexus.. username Japtat ... hit em up...

Ok guys got the rims Stern ST-2 20x8.5/9.5 and some tein SS Coilovers. I will have to roll the fenders as the rims line up with the fenders right now. I am scared to lower it right now cause it looks like it will rub for sure. Here are some pics of the rims on the car. As soon as I find a place to roll the fenders locally I will lower it.

You'll only have to roll/cut it depending on your tire size and offset. Also, your camber can compensate for a little more to make it flush.

hopefully I just have to roll them but if I have to cut then whatever. It just will mean I can drop the car more =) Btw tires are 245/35 and 275/30

Man, thats some meaty tires you went with. Probably easier to cut the rears being that its two sheets of metal. The front you can get away with just rolling the tabs in.

sounds like you havent tried to go lower yet. id lower the car down and see how much/ or if you even need to roll it. Since its coilovers you should be able to do it fairly easily and in no time at all. I say try it out and see whats up.
