Rolling fenders on a 10+ year old car...who's done it perfectly?
I'm going to be doing the rears on my 97 CL soon, but just wondering who has rolled their fenders on their 10+ year old o.g. paint without any cracking/peeling? Also, what were your methods? I'm going to be renting a roller from vatozone and using a heatgun, but would appreciate any feedback. I know I'll only need to roll the upper half of the fenders and not the entire thing, so hopefully that'll make my job that much easier.

honda fenders are pretty easy to roll, just take your time, heat up the paint, and roll away

honda/acura paint is really cheap and is extremely prone to cracking...to be on the safe side, you may want to cut a slit just inside the fender...if the paint does crack, it will help prevent the paint from peeling on the outside where it's really noticeable...
go slow but depending on how much you need to roll, i'm about 85% sure it'll crack somewhere...

Just roll it and do whatever it takes to get it as clean as possible and then have a body shop perfect it and paint it....
Isn't this what most really clean VIP cars do??? I'm still a newb about somethings I guess...

no need to have a body shop perfect it if you do it right the first time...

Body work isnt for everyone. Some people will mess up their fenders so much that the complete quarter panel would have to be replaced. Rolling isnt hard, just takes patience and some people lack that

Wow, that is strange. I've never seen anything like that in my entire life.
