LS400 Estate
Alright guys got a new one for you. My buddy is obsessed with wagons. He wants to get a 300TE cause he love my mercedes so much. Yesterday when we were brainstorming a LS400 estate much like the crown estate would kit total ass. Anybody kit could fit on it cause you aren't modifing an area that would be affected by it on the body. He needs something he can carry a bunch of boxes in and I was thinking remove the rear seats and put a sweet hardwood floor all the way back.
That saudi king had Bentley Arnage Estates made by extended the roof over the rear pillars and having windows cut and a back arch made. Something that any good hot-rod shop could handle (and WOW do we have alot of those shops in the midwest). I've already been quoted $2,000-3,000 depending on how much prep work I can do. Plus the cost of glass, and finding a rear liftgate that'll match up with my custom fabbed frame. Then to top it all off... toyota crown estate tail lights. The car this would be based off of a 1995 LS400 and I think that the body lines can definitely handle a conversion like this. I've seen a 147 Aristo wagon before but never any LS's.
Has this been done yet? Or anything like it?

Pretty easy fab work if you know what you are doing.

ehhh. i think to pull it off youll have to chop the top a lil bit to make it look right. but itd be different (at least ive never seen it done). you know he could just pick up a toyota previa and VIP that out. not any VIP'd previas in the midwest.

I know I keep telling him to get an previa but he strongly doesn't want to drive one untill he has kids. He wants a wagon. The wald kit for this car is like $900, add new lighting and stuff for another $300, shocks and springs $600, new grill and other stuff plus interior $1,500, respray, and conversion $4,000. Thats like a $10,000 car that only he has. Plus the way we build cars it won't be done untill it DOES look right.

Do it.
Definitely a unique project and would end up looking pretty good to boot.

I LOVE wagons and would do it in a heartbeat if I had the $ too!
I think it could look real good on a '95 LS since it has a box like shape!
Not sure if it's the same guy... but the Sultan of Brunei had ordered 7 Ferrari 456GTs WAGONS in all colors of the rainbow!
+1 For a Lexus LS Shooting Brake (as they call it in Europe)

Ah yes the fuel tank, we figured that one out this afternoon. We are going to turn it into a Boso LS is what it looks like. He's going with a Previa for the utility since we just don't have the time for that much fab work now.

The Crown is available in wagon form. I have seen one with Celsior front that tricked me for a while. Search Crown Estates.

Yup its a scooter! We're going to build a boso scooter with matching themed LS. The scooter is going to be hilarious, we got the idea from the last scooter we had except I put it down in the cul-de-sac near my place and wrecked it like the SECOND day I had it. The next one needs to have more PWR!.... and a helmet haha It definitely did a good job of being wild and pissing all of the neighbors off. We are still planning out the LS. I'm so surprised more people don't do stuff like that. I mean everybodys got a VIP GS, how many people have the crazies??
