Is there are trick to bejeweling crap?

Did they do that over an outline/picture or did they just eyeball that?

definitely over a template.

You can see the painted cover underneath, between the crystals to fill in the colour, and probably act as a pattern to follow as well.

Ahh thats what I thought. What kind of paint do you think they use to make the template? Do you think its a vynal or a sticker or what? I want to do a huge thing somewhere (details are kinda sketchy at this point) and i'm trying to figure out how they made that. Cause if I knew what technique they used i'd totally be able to make something sweet.

could be just enamel...
 
don't think the crystals will stick too well to vinyl...

with the right adhesive they will stick to almost anything, but you have to find the right adhesive while taking into account that if it's for a car it will have to withstand a lot of heat ( at least here in FL it does)

all my pieces I have done have not come off yet..even my grill in the AZ heat....FUnny how lots of folks now are likeing the bling when some of the same folks dawged me for it when I first started crystalizing my interior...
