Remove light scratches on plastic chrome?

anyone know what i can use to remove light scratches on the chrome grilles made out of plastic? would rubbing compound work? i'm afraid to use it and might haze up the chrome. I'm working on a mod for my grille and i accidently scrubbed the chrome with a light abrasive scuff pad. any suggestions? :pat:

There is specific polishing compounds for plastic chrome I have used them but I get them at a friends body shop and have no idea where to source it.

you can use buffing compound...hand rub then go over it with swirl remover or steel wool #0000...if the scratch is deep, this comes in handy

what color scuff pad? red, gray or yellow?
 
i can experiment with some stuff we have at work and can tell you exactly how to take it off...

just use a cutting with a rag

Just so you know, it is next to impossible to remove scratches from chrome. You can easily remove oxidation, but not scratches. Try some Meguiar's Mag and Aluminum it's the best stuff I've tried yet.
