Seats of a LS400?

Hi,

Today, I was able to seat inside (for the first time), a lexus LS400 (91-94), and my first impressions was that the seats are bouncy! They feel like an old style Mercedes Benz.

My question is that, are all LS400's like this?? I mean for the other years too?? Feels like you will be floating when driving...I didnt drive it because it was being serviced, however im just imagining that it would.

I did get to seat in a LS460L and wow...just wow!! I want one, but don't have $103000CND dollars!!!

That's probably because the seats are worn, leather is hard, cushion is worn, springs sagging etc. etc.

My LS400 back seats felt a lot softer and more cushiony. That's what you have to deal with when picking a 14-17 year old car.

Just be happy if you can find one without cracked seats, or if you can find one with cloth that'd be even MORE pimp.

Hmm...I didnt actually notice any cracking on the leather, it just felt bouncy, like very springy!

In Canada, we dont have cloth option...all leather haha.

The back seats were fine, it was the driver seat, but i guess it has to do with the factors you mentioned (old car)...

thanks!

I'm pretty sure that seats are worn out. Lexus seats are the most comfortable compare to the other cars

That's just the way 1st gen seats are when you're comparing them to newer model cars. If you sit in a '98-'00 LS400, it's a HUGE difference.

No, '95-'97 is softer than '90-'94, but I was just pointing out the fact that there's a big difference compared to the '98-'00. Actually, '95-'00 might be the same in terms of comfort/cushion...it's been awhile since i've sat in a '98-'00, so I couldn't really tell you if there's a difference between previous and after generations.

Oh, ok. In that case, yes, they're very springy/bouncy.
