NOT VIP....AT ALL.... NOT EVEN A LITTLE

So I finally got the rears fit on my car, now to work on the fronts..... Problem is I dont like the front bumper and front fenders anymore.  I would like to go cleaner, less racer, more
classy. Def go with a fender pull.  But dont know where to start, as sourcing a donor bumper is next to impossible as I live in a town over-run by unpainted kitted civics and POORLY built vehicles (exept one hot vip styled m. benz CL running Amistadts) Anywayz... Here she is at ride hight . Still waitinig on spacing the fronts until
I figure out what to do with the front bumper. Any help is appreciated.

eeeeeehhh,,not feeling this car at all, especially that rear bumper flare, looks nasty...I agree with pancakes, instead of dropping more money into a NEON,,,get a better platform and be the one of the first in your town to show them real VIP..

I would love a true vip platform. Ive been using this car as a show car.. I dont drive it..
Had it for 10 years now, and its nearly done.  BTW it's not an SRT4 it's a 97 coupe with
an engine swap. but who cares, I just started my interest in vip style cars about a year+ ago, and that was about the time I had got this painted.  So I got rid of the 
18x7.5s and went 4 a larger staggered settup without cookie cutter rims. hehe.   I just love camber + stretched tires + good fitment.  It seems this forum other than some vw forums are the only ones who are accepting of these things.  I got raped at Neons.org
as soon as I posted ("staggered fwd stupid, strech tires dangerous/ ignorant, etc.)  You guys know the type.  At least I don't rock a cf hood and sunken battleships with a store bought kit.  ::shrug::  I modded all the flares/kit/ etc. myself , so I can do all the work
myself as far as changing this one as often as I want.  This car has gone through more akward changes than a growing teenage girl.  No suggestions on a bumper then huh?
I will prolly make new side skirts as well when I do the front and fenders.    Someday I will own a nice car....... :::crying::: =(

If it's paid off then I can't knock you for keeping it!
 
It's funny how you get less respect from the same car fourms as the one you own!

Honestly though 1st gen VIP platforms don't cost much! I would seriously think about buying one instead of wasting money on the neon! TRUST ME!!! I had a ford probe that I thought was the shit! Until I bought my Q! =)

ah I was wondering what became of this neon.  I would do what others have suggested though and get a different platform, youve already invested so much time and effort into this car for its look so why go in the opposite direction.  fitment looks good too keep it up man.

Since u dont mind doing some work to it and u insist on keeping the car, ill give you some advice.  Find a 92-95 civic coupe and messure the bumper.  Get an aftermarket civic front bumper since there are hundreds of choices.  Cut it, cut urs and combine them.  Im sure there are some clean civic bumpers out there.  Good luck

try to find a stock bumper with a cleaner lip kit.  it will be a lot of work for you, but it will help it look less ricey.  and honestly i look at ANY car with good fitment.  so if you can get your firment a little better, more pokeage, it wouldnt be bad.  hondas are runnin 0 offsets w/o flares.

Thx for all the advice on the civic front bumper, I'd taken some measurments before on the trunk, but never the front bumper.  I will eventually get a vip worthy chassis as soon
as I can though, money is tight in my industry at this time. I have watched this site daily for over a year and can't get enough!!Prolly looking at a older body q45.  I love those cars :drool: and since I am fluent in custom body work I think I could get a beater and fix it up right.

The last generation of Neon before the SX2.0 style - the RT has a nice front bumper with foglamps and lip.

Toss that on there with a lower lip to match the rest of the kit and I think it would be pretty tight

I really like to the front bumper on that 02,  that is a urethane bumper-- I have fiberglass,  
anyone drop a pm if you know how to mate the two together.  That is the clean look I am wanting.  The stock first gen bumper is uber ugly and has a non-removable molding that goes around the entire front of the bumper... Not cooo at all.  Looking into selling my other 2 neons and pickup to get into a vip platform.  No way I can get rid of this one though.
