March Issue of Super Street...turned GQ?!?

Has anyone else gotten the new Super Street? They have totally changed up the whole magazine. In this issue, all the features have less words and more pics. They even added a Stylin & Profilin part where they talk about new clothes, kicks, and gear. Lots more models pics as well. Ive been reading SS since day 1 and now that Nads is gone it looks like Wong is taking SS into a new direction. Not only changing up the layout but also adding differant features and something NEW! I personally like this new look and features. Now its not all about the cars, its about the lifestyle too.

anyone else feel the same or differant? DISCUSS....

PS: Congrats to Richard!(i20solara02i) I see your solara as the ride of the month :runcoold:

One of the reasons I like SuperStreet over most other "tuner" magazines was that they weren't all about body kits and wheels and they included more info and specs on the actual builds. I gotta see for myself what you are talking about with the fewer words thing. I like the articles the way that they were I hope they didn't take out the technical stuff I look at. I hope they didn't to like SCC did. They lost me around 02-03.

I like the idea TPR has for their mag.

Just sucks how they dont come out with enough coverage on "GOOD" cars.

I gotta check out this SS, haven't read a SS for years.

There's also a new magazine out there called Traction which sounds like it is similar to the new Superstreet direction. It's like a high end luxury type lifestyle magazine that is focused around cars, shoes, clothing, etc.

It looked pretty cool!

the question is which preparation, because if it's h i wouldn't be surprised. the content lately in that magazine has been shotty at best.

The problem is--the whole "import tuner" scene/phenomenon is on its last legs. They need a new angle to compnesate for that, thus the new "lifestyle" focus.

SCC is a leaflet now. A sad shell of its once proud self.

I stopped subscribing to SS around 5 years ago. I'm hanging onto the SCC sub mostly out of guilt--I've been a subscriber for 12 years...
