^^^ if you got those wheels it would look so sick. Either way you are going to need new rims for this beast.

looks good. but whyd you toss the idea of stock body and mad camborz? because you can still yield super deep dish with extreme camber.

That car is gonna own when it's done. Are you going to repaint the whole thing or just
do a major blend job? It's gotta be hard to match the frake just right with the rest of the car. Either way I cant wait to see it done.

well, i cant go much more extreme
I am already at 10j -30 with max camber at both the bolt adjustment, and the camber arm only has one lock nut on it
i already wear thruogh sidewalls before tire, so more camber, itsnt beneficial at this point for saefty sake (yeah i said it, even i draw the line)

its going to be a few months before i takle the flare job
the whole car will be resprayed either blue or black. not sure what i want yet
but i am gettign new FRP fenders and molding hte flares on to them, and reinforcing the frp fender lik a ton for the fender mirrors, since htey take so much wind.
its not going to be a fast process at all, but it will be done correctly this time

i should have used glass
:koolaidwall:
plan is some heavy duty panel bondwith a SMALL (maybe 1 inch) of the sheet metal bent outwards and flush, but befor ei mount the flare, use some sheetmeral, and weld up all the empty space under the fender from cutting and bending out for clearance. Then panel bond the flares on, then glass mat, then bondo, then sprayable filler, then paint.

are you going to glass the flare to metal or scuff up the paint with 40 grit d/a? and i would glass the flares to the body, then couple skim coats on bondo...

after panel bond is set, i wil do it to metal with Kitty hair (shredded glass) then bondo, then finish.
its not the first time i have done it, but its entirely to cold to do it

i didn't mean "i would glass the flares to the body" i meant, i would use fiberglass filler to build, then skin coat on bondo on top of that...
my bad...

Enjoy your set up for like 6 months at least .. then again you change wheels like 2 times a month lol so this might be something you are waiting on doing ...

what kind of welder do you have? not sure what the power sources are in japan but here, i used a 110V snap-on welder and even with the heat setting on hi, i still had birdshit welds...my house in kinda ghetto too so the breaker would trip after a couple tacks...i heard the millermatic 110V isn't too bad but when i move back to cali, definitely gonna get me a millermatic 210...
and don't forget that etching primer!

Yeah, at lesast its under the fender wells...some rubberized undercoating will help hide it too...having a nice welder that's set up right makes a job 10x easier and look cleaner without all the extra grinding...I hate grinding under those wheel wells...

I use a 110 Lincoln Electric Mig from the 80's and it gets freakin hot! I can lay down some super welds with it, but not when my breaker was on the fritz. I could here it bogging down and the welds came out worse then boom! breaker switched off. I'm sure if you got that fixed then it would work a million times better.
