1st gen GS trunk garnish ?

Does anyone know of the trunk garnish on the 1st gen GS is interchangeable between the 93-95 and 96-97 models? It looks to be the same shape but i was wondering if the body color piece (along with the inner taillights) on the 96-97 is removable.
