205, 215, or 225?

So, I've got these lovely 8" and 8.5" wheels, but I don't know what 45 series tire to put on them.

For the front, it's either 205 or 215, and in the rear, either 215 or 225.

I dunno what to try out first... 215 would help clearance in the rear, but then if I have 215 in the front too, they wouldn't match, because of the stretch in the rear. And I don't know if I want to do 205 in the front. Mostly because I'm lazy and don't want to wait 4 days for them to come in if I order them, and partly because I don't feel I need much of a stretch in the front.

Really, even in the rear I just need to pull the tire away from the lip of the wheel so I can get  flush and stay out of my suspension.

Are these 17's? Rule of thumb keep the OD the same as stock. Work with that. I'd personally go with less stretch if need be.

I did stock O.D. with my cheap 17s, 205/40. I want more sidewall this time around, I don't really care if my speedo is off by a bit... so are my camber, my offsets, my wheel widths, and my tire widths.

I'm also going for less stretch though.

lol Grant, 205/45, while plausible, isn't the look I'm going for.
I've had this pic from when I first got here, and I often look to it for inspiration. Of course, I'll have more stretch, and more aggressive fit, but I like the tire thickness and how well wrapped the wheels look.

I think I like it because it makes the dish look effortless.

those tires are way too huge, but hten again the fitment sucks on it so he can.

i mean, if you can rock huge tires without hitting, go for it if its what you like

i think this is really a question only you can answer because you know your clearance issues and desired look.

Well, I ordered some  215/45 and 205/45 Maxxis something or others.

Would have taken the Falken 912s I have in stock, but we didn't have the 205/45 so I'd be waiting the same 4 days to have all four on the car anyways.

It's just too bad I won't have tires on the wheels when I'm rolling my fenders.
