Y33 cima cedric

hey guys
 
im currently lookin at importing a Y33 cima/cedric is three any major differnces between the models.
 
any major drama's with this model.
 
wat are the engine choices i kno that one model has a v8 but is that it.
 
and is there any differnce between the infiniti and nissan models
 
 
and also the infiniti Y33 is a Q45 right?

cima and cedric are two different cars entirely
 
Cima is the YS q45
Cedric, is my car.
 
The Cima is avaliable with a V8, the Cedric/gloria wasnt
However, they were both avaliable with a VQ30DE(T) engine
and RB25det engine option
Cima had a 4wd variant as well.

i thought they was on the same platform

ok looked back over sum material and i was wrong.
 
either way i wudnt mind either of these models as long as they was 33 model

all they share is the Chassis code. everything else is different

are suspension parts the same or are they differnt agen?

any problems with the cimas mechanically

same as any other nissan
cilpacks go out, all the time
mafs go bad on a normal basis
 
other than that they arent too bad
I had my crossover pipe on the VQ30DET go bad
that was a shitty weekend to fix

Coilpacks don't go out "all the time" sorry.  And MAF's only go bad when neglected and due to age / wear or using oiled guaze air filters.  These are extremely well built cars that are considered to be "bulletproof".

I have 105k Miles on my Y33Q and never replaced any of the mentioned items.  Only things that I've done are O2's, MAP / BAR switch (only on California models anyhow) and the alternator.  Had it since 75k / 4 years.

Yeah, you dont have one from japan, wiht a VQ in it.

a V8 is different, and is NOT the predominant model here in japan.
the V8 and the V6Turbo motors are night and day difference. They use the same coilpacks and Mafs as skylines, which are notorious for failing.

so please, read his original post, that he is Importing form japan to australia.

Yeah sorry, I meant to say that.  At least in VH series V8 is considered bulletproof :pat:

i dont really care wat engine i get in one if i can import one to australia.
 
see the gay thing is the goverment might not let this car to be imported under there gay rules

yeah, i was about to say "since when have Y33s been elligible?" AFAIK it would be a big job and since it hasnt yet been approved, first compliance would be hella expensive. There was one Y33 Cima for sale in Perth last year, but not sure what happened to it. Any that you see in Austrlia would be a private import
