Hi. My name is Brad. I live outside of Birmingham, AL. I drive a 2006 Toyota Tacoma regular cab pickup. I love my truck. It's fun, affordable, and good on gas. As my screen name implies, I have big dreams. I know pickups aren't true to the VIP scene, but I plan on making my truck as nice as I can. It's going to be a hybrid of Mini truck-style and VIPstyle themes. I plan on eventually slamming my truck w/ air ride and tucking 20s. I'd go larger, but a 4-cyl can only do so much. My truck is black. I've already shaved the tailgate and antenna. my goal is to have no chrome and no emblems. the only emblem i have left is the front Toyota badge. I'd also like to have a roll pan installed to smooth out the back end. When I can afford nice wheels, I'd like to get something w/ a deep lips (there's part of the VIP theme) and solid black. I also plan on getting a tonneau (or however you spell it) cover. I think it'll look nice when I'm done. I'll probably finish my build before I finish making payments. I dunno, I'm only paying about $12,500 or so for it. Once I pay it off, I'll get a true VIP car. I absolutely love the Lexus LS.

hey welcome to the forums, alot of people are going to be partial to your pick up being vip "styled" i think you should navigate yourway through the web site and learn a few basics. chrome in moderation is classy imo. no chrome is sporty imo. i think you should go for the "dub" style especially since its a pickup. good luck!

man the last time a truck came on here trying to be "vip styled" all hell broke loose. in all honesty, its just not gonna happen but that shoutldn't stop you from hangin around and enjoying the site. take what you can and leave the rest.

Dont listen to those guys. although some are right, people will hate. but, ive seen trucks in japan who have sick setups. Maybe not very well known as VIP, i guess. but they are running flush wheels, and pulled fenders. some of them drift and have full all on IRS with coilovers and all that mess. anyways. keep it real! The truck scene in japan is pretty awsome.

I realize that my truck cannot be called VIP. I know that at the end of the day, it's still a mini truck. I bought my truck b/c I need a truck for whenever I save up money to move into my own place (just don't make enough to make the transition). And if I ever change jobs, I need to haul my tools to the next shop. I bought my truck so I wouldn't have to rely on my friends to take time out of their day to help me. My truck was also cheap. I'm paying a little over $12,500 for it. Once I make more money, I plan on getting a 1st gen Celsior or Aristo. Until then, I'll keep making mods to my truck and having fun with it and seeing what I can create. I do appreciate the constructive and destructive criticism. I don't want to start any trouble on one of my favorite sites. I hope people will accept me here and let me enjoy the fabulous cars and let me get my fill and inspiration. Deep down inside me is a VIP enthusiast. That's all that counts, right? If anyone has any ideas for wheels that might look good or body kits or grilles or whatever, please let me know. I'm open to suggestions and inspiration. I'd also like to get some suggestions on this little idea I had. I've thought about getting some Junction Produce items. Maybe a hood ornament or some interior items might be nice on my truck. I'd like to get a JP emblem to put on my tool box at work. Please let me know what ya'll think.
