Are you on air?

Hey i'm in statenisland and i'm interested in running air so just to peak my interest i figured i'd ask who have air suspension(airrunner,universal,etc) if you are can you post some pics & the issues you have running air on the east since we have a very cold winters....Thanks in advance.

cold doesnt affect it at all in anything you need to worry about

How's the ride? i mean this is a luxury car i don't want it to be bouncing all over the place or riding harsh.

I heard somewhere that i would have to put an additive in the lines so they don't freeze is that true?

Your the guy that pmed me on CL right? Anyway, my air lines freeze and I cant lift the car until they warm up. Usually takes 5-10 minutes. To avoid this, I just dont slam the car when I park it in the winter. I leave it at drive height. Thats the only issue that you would have during the winter.
 
Im on a custom air setup but the lines, compressors and tank are from universal everything else including the valves are not from universal.
 
The ride depends on how low you drive. The lower you go, the rougher the ride will be but you get used to it, just stay on the left lane and avoid those potholes on Hylan and you will be fine ;)

Yeah that was me who pm'ed.i figured they did freeze but was'nt sure.
I'm torn between air or static drop that's why i'm asking, i still have my denali so i can rock dat during winter months but as you know we have some sunny but very cold days and i might want to rock the LS.

P.S my denali has 26's on it and i never go up on Hylan Blvd with it because of the potholes.

Nah my denali for when i roll out with my boys and i got the LS for ladies or riding solo.
i still might get air but as of now i'm leaning towards the SS kit, even though it would be nice to have the adjustability of air...i swear i had to fix my fenders on my GS at least 5 times and i don't want to go through that with the LS.

Its part of the game I guess. You can drive high (not that way lol) and not have to risk messing up your fenders.
 
 
You can go coilovers but you wont have the adjustability while driving.
 
Or you can get a setup like Grant (yokota13) which is a coilover/universal bag setup. That way you can make it as stiff as you want it to be to save your fenders. Also when your out with the girls just adjust the coilover so its not too stiff and they dont bitch.

lol, nah...there is never that option
its always going ot be stiff, unless you have a super soft coilover.

UAS with kybgr2 ... Great ride IMO .... not harsh and not to soft ...

Hey widebody did you install your setup yourself or did yiu have someone install it for you?

I didnt do my install.  Lots of cutting and welding was required.  My suspension shop is about a 5 hour drive from my house.  Its located upstate

Wow!!! if i go air i have to get it done somewhere closer thlke the five boroughs or jersey.

Get a bolt on system like air runner and you wont have problems finding a shop

i did my entire setup in my driveway basically.
ALl i needed was a drill, clamps, screws, wrenches, grinder, jacks, and all the other normal items
 
only porblem is cost, your looking at a minimum of 3500+

Nah my wrenching days are over i have a guy who can do the work,he has a small shop but his shop is like a mall alot of people go there to hang out and it get's pretty crazy over there. i would'nt want to bother with that for this particular install little small stuff yea but this nah i'll pass so i guess i have to hunt for someone to install the kit if i decide to go air.....i'm still waiting to see another members car after he inatalls his SS kit.
