Y33 Cima hood mascot, what is it?

I just put the Y33 Cima hood mascot on and me and my friends were looking at it.  What we want to know is...  What the heck is it?  My bro said it looks like a lettuce leaf  hahaha  Anyone know the true answer?

looks like in those paintings when they paint a holy person and they paint that gold halo behind their head... know what i mean?

I heard from the grape vine a long time ago from I thread I started on the old forum that it is Cima leaf...

hahaha  yeah i thought it looked close to the Daewoo symbol too  :P  but yeah the Cima leaf makes the best sense...  i looked it up in Google and found out that the leaf is from a brocolli plant called Cima De Rapa.  now i wonder what brocolli and cars have to do with anything?   hahah  what was Nissan thinking?

i know they have that leaf on old school japanese sh*t like in tats and warriors had  huge shields that had the cima leaf on it. that was the first thing i thought of when i saw these.  wheres all the japanese at? i know someone knows why its a traditional crest.
