HIN Los Angeles 3/22

Well I figured since there was an HIN San Mateo thread, I'd post one up on HIN LA, so...whose going?  I'll be showing with my club, Scion Evolution.  Hope to see some familiar faces, and meet some new ones :biggthumpup:   If you see me or my car, don't be a stranger and come up to say wsup!  I know I'm not VIP, but I'm still a nice guy! haha =]

No one else is going to this in so cal ?

I'll be there of course with AutoFashion. Gotta represent at LA!

I'll be there representing my Mercedes crew!

Damn I bet this will be a great turn out .. I am up North but I am sure one day I will roll down to Socal to make a meet or show one day

how large will the vip turnout be this time?

any vip vendors posting up? you know if they usually sell shit cheaper then?

vendors will always be there.   doubt theyre there to sell though.

damn HIN LA already?? didn't they jst have that a couple months ago, i was hoping to show for the first time but my ride isn't gona be ready til summer...hopefully

^^ Yeah man they moved the date for HIN LA earlier this year. They usually have it towards the end. But yeah man don't forget to take pictures of them Lo-Lo's you about to see tonight. :giggity:

ill be there with backyard autocreations along with my sponsers: private label, first class,time machine racecraft, and hit hard clothing.  not a crazy vip car but it should be fun.

the hours for hin los angeles say 5 to midnight. Does this mean showcasing people won't be able to get out until later ?

Eric, contact Sean 'jdmpalace'. I know he wanted to go so I'm sure you two can cruise together. But HIN LA is not pre-screening which shouldnt be a problem.

Correct. Usually exhibitors get out around 12:30am or so. Remember to have a [I][COLOR=red]maximum[/COLOR][COLOR=red] 1/4 tank of gas[/COLOR][/I] to be able to show.

Mdenoga,  it's minimum 1/4 or maximum 1/4 tank? I thought when you're at indoor shows they want you to be like empty or something? Otherwise I'll just be on full, thanks

can't have more than 1/4th in the tank.  Basically, they want your tank empty.  Normally, they are pretty strict about it.  Every show I attended in my life I always see people racing around in circles trying to get rid of the gas.  Just siphon the damn thing out!  lol

Last HIN LA they didn't check! :shrug: 
But it is better to be safe than sorry cause it does take a while to burn that much gas in a short distance!
 
And as far as leaving......LOL! I usally don't leave till about 2 hours afterwards and don't get home till about 3 or 4 ish! HAhahahaha! GOOD TIMES!!!!! :biggthumpup:

Didn't get out until 1am last year. :sad: 
 
LOL had to drive around with a friend for like 30 min. around downtown because he had about 1/2 a tank of gas in his car. :pat: They were very strict about that. Tried siphoning it out, but the it wouldn't work...probably a safety mechanism in the tank or something' ('07 IS250). Definitely not making that mistake this year.

Wow. I didn't know it was that bad over there. Oh thats right since there is technically only one way out of the LA Convetion Center.

I took forever jus to register, get in and all that! 
 
HIN LA is one of the biggest shows for HIN!!! But I don't know about this year cause it so soon after the last HIN LA!

I apologize for lame nooby question.......but this will be my first time showing / attending HIN. So for the 6 hours of show, are we suppose to just sit by our cars and pick our nose ? =)

Pretty much.  All you do is just either sit by ur car and talk to people or just go around looking at the same cars for hours hahaha!  It gets pretty boring unless you make it fun by drinking beer and messin around.  When u wait for the time to come then it seems much longer.

The best part about shows are before and after! LOL!
 
Good thing about VIP cars is there comfrotable to sit/lay in and if you have TVs you can sit and watch movies or play games! :biggthumpup:

What u talking about the best time is when we all go out to eat and get FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED UP the night before the show! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!  SO JU HERE WE COME SON!!!!!!!!!!

I had my windows open to give the people a better feel than a locked up car and answered any questions .. 

Just make sure to have someone watch your car .. people steal things ! lol  I put candy and like 25 stickers and by the end of night all of the thing were gone ..

you have to imagine being there the whole day before, and the whole day of.  youve seen all the cars in the light, so whats there to look at when its all dark and shit.  basically you sit around and look at the poeple.

Yep, that's the plan......

At 2 am, it will take me 15 minutes to get back to the South Bay.  The downside is that I'll probably have a dozen beers in me and that's the worst time to be on the road.

Almost time to roll out for the roll-in.  We'll be rolling out with Platinum Motorcars VIP and Vip Modular (maybe 15-20 cars), hopefully i can get some rolling shots.

As for roll in, i heard they were being hella strict this year and only let 100 cars in and closed it. They told everyone to roll in tomorrow in the afternoon. WHACK!

Sorry the shots aren't so great...wasn't using a tripod and I didn't have much time because they were closing the doors. I didn't have a chance to get any shots of the LJC group or the Arkan/Autofashion group. I'll try to get them tomorrow before the show starts.

I'm there now been here waiting at the front gate since 10am!!!!
HIN is gay this year!

Last night there was about 100+ cars waiting to get in and they closed the building and told everyone to come back tomorrow! So we're chillen in the front of the line w/ about 200 other cars waiting to get in! Most of us had to park our cars at our hotels which sucked but was nice cruising the staple center!

As far as VIP turn out its pretty good! I think AF has about 13 VIP cars showing and there's probably more than 15 others here!

I'll post pics of all the rolling shots and other roll in stuff tomorrow.......

They are letting us in so I'll halla at y'all later!

btw i let the wife drive home like the last 20 miles and she decided to get some pho...i was sleeping and all i hear is my car scraping hard as she goes up the drive way. i get outside and my driver fender cracked =(
