my alternative puddle lights

okay,personally i dont really like those puddle lights that mount under the car.well,i like seeing them on other cars but i wouldnt use them on mines.they kinda remind me of neon lights.so i bought these led pods from eBay and mounted them under the doors.sorry for the crappy pics.

looks really sharp. Any more info on what type of lights those are, i am sure some other members would love to do that same mod.

that looks really good. i'm with you, i like the puddle lights, but around here, people would just think it's neon and it wouldn't really get the respect. kinda like vip in general around here; everyone just thinks that it's some kind of mexican thing with bad fitting wheels. no offense to anyone, that's just what they say to me.

I think that's because you're from Kentucky.

remember to use white led's for the doors
it will look 10x better than other colors because other colors make it look like neons
i used regular 5mm white led's, 4 per door and it looks good (-_^) d

thanks for the compliments.ive had them on for about 7 months already.i just didnt have a camera that could capture it at night.these are actual "white" leds but they look blue and bright as hell.i dont know if i can post eBay links but this is how it looks

they came in a string of 20 pods with 2 leds each

it also has double sided tape on them so install is without hassle.except fot the wiring.

you beat me to it. i'm going to do something similar whit super bright white 5mm leds and chrome led holders which drill into the door. your way loooks real nice too. i hope mine comes out as well.

werd.  normal puddle lights work well when you're trying to get into your car.  interesting setup though.
