Need Some advice?

I just got into the market for a new VIP platform. I had a 2000 GS300 JZS160 (pepsi Blue). But to my luck before i got to do anything to it i got rear ended on the freeway earlier this month and now its gone. (Total loss) I'm in a position to get another vehicle but not trying to spend as much. I've been looking at the 2001 Infinity Q45 for $10,999 w 79,000 miles on it. But i've never driven one nor owned one. But i love the big body look and clean lines almost as much as my GS. i just want something different this time. Can anybody tell me how they compare to the GS300 in Reliability and Fuel comsumption. i know its lower than the GS udue to the V8 but i want to hear from someone that drives one o n a daily basis. Do they have any major problems that i have to look for when buying one or once owning one? I'm new the the infinity models so any good input will help. I've bought a headach before and i'm trying to keep away from another. Thanks!

YO! Mine is daily driven! It's all I got!
I'd sell you mine but my gurl & family would kill me! .......but I want a g50 :saiyancrunks:

N/e wayz, Q45s are great cars, don't expect much from the V8 cause this car is heavy as hell so it doesn't pull like it should! As far as reliabillity...as long as you find one w/ all the maintence taken care of or kept on top you'll be fine. One thing I did find was that alot of Q (G50s & Y33) have valve gasket leaks which cause oil to leak and kill your altenator.... not too bad of an issue except for the altenator dying part.... (That's the problem I currently have). I also read somwhere that there's a common suspension problem but I forgot what that is. But yea fine one that's been well maintained and you'll be golden!

GOOD LUCK ON DA SEARCH!
