coolest logo / brand name in JDM wheels

anyone catch the Modified magazine end of 2007 article on work wheels ? I caught it at the barber shop a few days a go. Really good in depth on Work wheels.

If there was one wheel company I had to pick as a life long choice, it would be Work.

I am rocking Works "Euroline" series , But I am with you Q class , they have awesome designs and makes

since my first set of wheels ever are SSR

in terms of history, Work has been around so long, they are the epitome of the japanese wheel.

they are also the buildhouse to many 3rd party companies. So what u think is a different wheel, was probably made by work.

I'd disagree and say Speed Star

I see what your saying qclass but I thought your thread was about the coolest logo (design wise).  In terms of history I agree work trumps pretty much everything.

In terms of logo design, WORK is very good, Amistad turns me on too, and Carrlsson has a great logo.

auto couture owns all as far as name and logo are concerned.

As far as name, I like Amistad. I dig their logo too, it looks good big and small, is simple and easy to recognize, and the script is very classy but modern.
The name sounds important, like it's a place you should know.

For some reason that name reminds me of a slave ships name.

here is what i found on the net about a movie I remember back then...

AMISTAD is about a 1839 mutiny aboard a slave ship that is traveling towards the Northeast Coast of America. Much of the story involves a court-room drama about the free-man who led the revolt.

Yeah so that name turns me off from those wheels..I can't even look at them soon as I see the name.

Same here. I love Work wheels. I also love the Junction Produce logos on my Scaras but I know they're OZ's. Work makes so many nice wheels for any car, sport or luxury.

overall work get's my vote.

i think ssr is the epitome of japanese wheels. top grade with some sort of patented technology. 
but in terms of logo, auto couture and kranze. i like em all.

Considering [i]La Amistad[/i] became a symbol of abolition, I don't see why you'd hate it. The slave transport it was occaisionally hired for was illegal, and [i]La Amistad[/i] was not an actual slave ship.

Also, 'amistad' is simply 'friendship' in Spanish.

So I still think it's a cool name.

I thought this was a an actual LOGO post for wheels...so I will go with that..JP wheels has the coolest center cap logo on anywheels..

jp pulls up third, behind weds and auto couture in my opinion. if we were talking logos in general jp would probably take it, but something about those leafy floral center caps looks so classy to me. theres actually another brand that does it too (laurmeister or something) but they seem like jdm knock-offs/rebadges to me.

i've been planning these for my ultimate car (non-vip) build for a long time now.

im gonna have to agree with hoebag...lowenhart is the way to go.

I like the Wed's kranze cerberus logo, or the hart bersaglio (sp) logo...
