man oh man....its been awhile but lemme introduce myself im ronnie and i just swooped up on a 1997 q-ship...new toy...new motivation and new aspirations...i used to do the VIP thing before it was popular...my other car is a 1998 supercharged gs400...i was TEAM BLUR and HYBRID...still have the GS but i ventured into other projects ae86's, toyota all tracs, and subaru stis...but im back with my roots and hopefully try to stir up this VIP scene to the best of my ability and what my wallet can handle...lol here are pics of the old rider

no i still have it at my mechanics...kinda blew the block when it was supercharged...i was doing 470 at thewheels 12 pounds of boost...im still in the industry and have been for almost 8 years do most of my installs and fabrications...imma bring it back sometime this year re-done along with my Q

as you can see the pics are old...hahaha whew been sometime but that was when JOHN from junction produce had his GS also...we used to show and compete against each other alot of good peoples back then

HAHAHA...exactly the reaction i was looking for...anyone from the HOOD would know my car...that was way back when the GS was considered "grandpa mobile"....worked extremely hard and it paid off...grown alot since then...started working on the GS a couple months after i got it when i was 18 in 1999 now im 26...hopefully for the Q SHIP im planning on some ANTI-VIP stuff...not against the VIP but doing it with bastard child attitude and function...but still looking good and being sick wit it

gyeah its what i had...but heres some better ones... dont worry hopefully a presence will help you step up your game to be the best you can be...too each his own and how far you take it is up too you...its no fun being number 1...im just saying with out competion what would drive you?

Car shows don't appeal too much to me...maybe it's due in part to being a former judge and show promoter.  This isn't a race, this isn't a competition...and it's definitely not Club Lexus.

working on it tryna come up with some sort of supercharger for it but space is a super issue but its pretty simple just like the GS its all about the bracket and anything can happen after that...if i do something it will be with a vortech but got to get the Q SHIP up to standard

hahaha...i do it for all that also...car shows dont appeal too much to me either...but its what you do to show your work time and money...but one thing competition does breed is innovation...if i come off kinda like an asshole im sorry but im far from that

Nature of the game?  Haha, man.  Vip is none of what you're putting off.  We are all chill guys who share the same passion.  Innovation comes from thinking outside the box...it requires no competition what so ever.  
Adding a supercharger may seem innovative to you, but it wouldn't even be the first time it was done.  Go look on NICO for yourself (not saying that's necessarily what you meant, just using it as an example) .  
You're not coming off as an asshole...it something completely different all together.  You seem like the guy who has to try to show up everyone else.  When I look at your car, I honestly don't see that...or maybe there wasn't much competition in your area.  I'm not bashing you..believe me, I'm just trying to set you on the right path to a lengthy stay here at VSC and to understand how this community lives and breaths.  
Do I think you could bring something to the table?   Yes, I do.  Do I feel you have a lot to learn?  Yes, you do.  So please take this as constructively as possible.  I'm not saying that I'm all that either...that was never the intention.  I feel there isn't one person in this world that I can't learn something from so I always keep my ears and eyes open...

Don't get me wrong it's a pretty nice car, but we've had a twin turbo 2JZ one rolling around Honolulu for ages.  The owner doesn't enter it in shows either and it's a complete package.  Anyone from Honolulu, knows the white GS I'm referring to.  My point was..he seems overly cocky, and I'm trying to understand why?  No, my car isn't nicer than that at this point..but I don't claim it to be.  It just looks like wheels, suspension, kit, and a supercharger...am I missing some mysterious bodywork somewhere?

working on one as we speak...if the bracket is made right...its surely can happen...battery will have to be relocated for it to work...but who knows...haha...yea ive had a couple guys tell me ifsomething does work they are all over it...to buy the set up...but im aiming to stay low boost...so we dont have to change alot of parts just mainly injectors and run some kind of piggy back ecu programmer...ill keep you updated...ronnie
