sideskirt yah or nay???

im getting a clean and conservative set of Sherlock rims...so the sideskirts being aggresive might have to go. What do you guys think. Im thinking of changing it up to a more cleaner skirt but at least straight not curvy at the bottom.

get some new ones...but make sure it's low enough to align your rear and front bumper...the one's you have on now are decent but too 'busy' imo...

also try to find some crystal clear fogs...it's throwing things off right now.

Those sideskirts are an eyesore, they're way too busy. The Buick fender things look like they're slapped on even if they're not. Crystal clear fogs for the GS don't really exist because they have a glass fluted lens that doesn't look clear as brand new headlights.

Well, now that just sucks...so why not just retrofit some from another car?  They'd look better than those anyhow.  Maybe some W221 S-Class or something?  Aero is fiberglass...you can make it what you want.

Yeah the skirts are a lil busy... just my 2 cents, but i would dead the fender ports. I'm not sure how it is over there where you're at but everyone and their mom has fender ports on there car here and like chrispy said they look glued on, which most the people who i see with them are.

im not asking about the fender port. i like the fender port. im asking about the side skirts. its not going anywhere so stfu. lol.

your front bumper and rear bumper lip look ok but hard to see in detail cuz it's black.

YOur skirts are agressive/sporty, but IMO it doesn't look all that bad. If you can go more conservative, what do you have in mind? I like your styling, it looks sick and unlike everyone elses. Offers up some diversity!

I think that the fact that the chrome only shows up on the doors and not continued around the car also adds to the look of it having a bunch of parallel visual lines on the lower part of the car between the wheels.  
 
ports are individual likes and dislikes so do what YOU like.

Good point! Noel, lets get some chrome trim on your ride (just for the stock areas that is). Cheap @ autozone or pep boys.

im gonna say change the skirts, the ideal is flat like mode parfume skirts. IMO the skirts you have on now make the car look weighed down in the center lets get some nice new ones

Yah, the chrome trim need to extend around.  That's a good point.  I do agree about the skirts though, it needs to be something more subtle.  After you get better fitting wheels it should look even better than it already does.

I dont like your current skirts.  They are too busy.  Get some cleaner ones and your good to go

so here's how it works, you can make your own fog light LENSE COVERS, you just have to be willing to dedicate some time into perfecting the technique and playing around with different resins to see which will give you that euro clear look (hint... look on the european market for resins or even china and taiwan) ANYONE can do this and for any lense part too.... old trick from my hot rod days and it looks good as hell plus the bonus of uniqueness...enjoy :biggthumpup:

here's what i think...
you already know 97.9% of VSC people are too lazy to even to do that.
they want something already made for the car.
even before the whole drastic new look of VSC, they were already set on whats out there and already made for the car.
imo, the only people pushing the envelope is one ton garage van, poyot, and {-_-} (robert?).

just because some people don't want to put some work other than clicking or typing into their cars does not mean that everybody is going to be that way. I honestly believe that out of everybody here only 15% would ever be willing to try something like this and these are the people I posted this for...... and by the way Van, Poyet, Robert and more than that are pushing the envelope, you forgot Rich, Grant, Mike (elpres), widebodyQ, augdogg, and Freddie (even if mainly on his customer's rides), these are only SOME of the people... never name only a few and stop without mentioning that various others...... I look up to these people and they deserve more respect than that in my  eyes.....

damn!  I dont have enough money to keep buying kits and painting them like you mang. ill be selling these skirts and help fund for my new skirts. lol. I heard in japan you can actually buy used body kits there so thats should help allot.  Your like in car heaven there lol.

i saw another, less complicated way to clear lenses on hidplanet (down right now for some reason). it involves sanding and polishing the texture off the lens. a little time consuming i would assume, but the results were nice.

I had a few other people on other forums ask me for the same service and I'll tell you like I told them.... how can you ever expect to call yourself an enthusiast if all you ever do is "purchase" stuff for your car, instead of making actual "modifications" to your car? get your hands dirty and believe me.... it will be rewarding!!! I usually recommend people purchase some used fogs or whatever they want to do, and work on those so the work in progress is at home without affecting your ability to use your ride. :biggthumpup:

just find a more subtle side skirt, ebay should have many choices for your GS no ?

I really like mix and match kits, it really differentiates you from other body kits.

You could probably just smooth out yours with some bondo/fiberglass etc....
